GLI® Achieves Historic Accreditation as Brazil’s First Authorized Laboratory to Certify Betting Systems and Online Gaming in Paraná

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) has become the first laboratory to achieve accreditation to certify betting systems, live game studios, and online games for use by fixed-odds lottery operators by the Secretaria De Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) in Brazil.
The accreditation signifies that GLI is authorized to test and certify equipment, programs, instruments, and devices comprising betting systems, live game studios, and online games for use by fixed-odds lottery operators for the newly enacted national regulatory framework in Brazil.

GLI has been working with regulators, lotteries, and industry stakeholders across Latin America and the Caribbean for over 26 years in their efforts to achieve regulation, sustainable growth, and the eradication of illegal gambling. In Brazil, GLI has collaborated with governmental entities and all industry stakeholders for nearly 20 years, participating in public hearings at the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, and state governments, and in recent years, adding strategic local representation to strengthen its local support.
This milestone is the latest for GLI in Latin America. Last month, GLI became the first laboratory to obtain accreditation to test online gaming and sports betting, both online and in-person, in Peru. Last year in Brazil, GLI was the first laboratory authorized to test and certify for the Paraná LOTTOPAR Lottery, and GLI will seek accreditation in all States where laboratory accreditation will be required in Brazil.
