SBC has appointed InsightPlay.ai as its Official AI Solutions Partner for attendee support at SBC Summit Rio, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing live event experiences through advanced conversational AI technology.
Under the agreement, InsightPlay.ai will deploy an AI-powered Event Concierge named Bruna, designed to provide real-time guidance and attendee support before and throughout the event.
Accessible via WhatsApp and Telegram, two of Brazil’s most widely used messaging platforms, Bruna will enable SBC to deliver practical, on-demand assistance during peak event moments without requiring attendees to download additional applications or navigate complex systems.
Available 24/7 in both English and Portuguese, Bruna will function as a digital helpdesk, responding to queries related to the event agenda and session details, speaker information, exhibitor locations and stand numbers, ticket inclusions and access, party and networking event details, venue navigation, and general event logistics.
SBC Summit Rio will take place from March 3 to 5 at Riocentro, Latin America’s largest convention centre. The event will bring together the Brazilian betting and gaming industry to explore the future of a market that opened to regulation early last year and has since progressed rapidly through its first phase of development.
Cristian Barbosa, COO and Co-Founder of InsightPlay.ai, stated that while the company’s Agentic AI solutions are primarily designed for player engagement, they also hold significant potential to enhance the conference experience. He described Rio as the pilot for what both organisations expect to become a transformational partnership across future SBC events.
Javier Troncoso, CEO of InsightPlay.ai, added that AI agents are quickly becoming a new interface layer between organisations and their audiences, and that applying this technology to live events creates opportunities for more personalised, efficient, and accessible attendee experiences at scale.
The partnership reflects SBC’s continued commitment to innovation and to leveraging emerging technologies that improve participant experience, operational efficiency, and event accessibility.
Lucía Mouriño, VP Relationships – Latin America at SBC, noted that the organisation is constantly exploring new ways to enhance the attendee experience through innovation. She added that, as AI frequently features in conference discussions, it felt like the right moment to integrate it into SBC’s own event operations. By introducing an AI Concierge, attendees will gain instant access to the information they need, when they need it, through familiar channels. She also expressed enthusiasm about exploring additional ways InsightPlay.ai can further enhance delegate experiences.
By easing pressure on on-site information desks and support teams while providing immediate access to essential event information, the AI Concierge represents a significant step forward in how large-scale industry events can integrate intelligent automation without compromising ease of use or a human-centric approach.
SBC Summit Rio will serve as the launch platform for the collaboration, with both organisations exploring broader AI-driven attendee engagement initiatives for future events.
