Moon Intelligence launches Venture Capital platform to support betting start-ups

The supplier aims to back ambitious entrepreneurs while strengthening its offering to accelerate US expansion

Moon Intelligence, the London-based provider of tailored solutions for market makers and betting syndicates worldwide, has officially launched a new Venture Capital platform designed to attract and support early-stage entrepreneurs within the gambling and betting ecosystem.

The initiative will provide betting start-ups with strategic funding, expert mentorship, and access to Moon Intelligence’s extensive data capabilities and partner network, enabling founders to scale their projects and bring innovative ideas to market more efficiently.

The establishment of a dedicated Venture Capital arm forms part of Moon Intelligence’s broader US expansion strategy, while also strengthening its existing product suite. Through its proprietary market-making trading model and a team of 50 analysts operating across 35 countries, the company aims to deliver deeper liquidity to US prediction markets across a wide range of sports and betting markets.

Alexandre Luneau, Co-Founder and CEO of Moon Intelligence, commented:

“We are open to collaborating with a wide variety of projects. If you are a professional bettor struggling to scale, we want to hear from you. If you’re building the next major product in the industry and need support, reach out. By launching an official Venture Capital arm, we hope to attract entrepreneurs who are looking for an experienced and committed partner.”

The launch builds on Moon Intelligence’s proven track record of investing in start-ups and entrepreneurial talent. One notable example includes its investment in football data specialist StatsBomb, which successfully exited following its acquisition by Hudl in 2024.

In addition, the company formed a unique and exclusive partnership with Project Football, securing the services of a high-performance football quant who developed a proprietary predictive model. By investing in this sole trader, Moon Intelligence was able to integrate independent, cutting-edge analytics into its broader trading and risk management ecosystem, while retaining full exclusivity over the outputs.

Sebastien Sabic, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Moon Intelligence, added:

“Our initial wave of investments in start-ups and entrepreneurs proved extremely valuable and highlighted our flexibility in taking innovative concepts to the next level. Our unconventional yet highly successful partnership with Project Football allowed us to support an individual trader with a strong edge in specific football leagues. By providing access to additional data, we enhanced both his personal trading performance and Moon Intelligence’s wider offering. We continue to seek out these sharp, specialised professionals to help them grow while creating mutually beneficial partnerships.”
