The panel will bring together experts from technology, suppliers, operators and media to examine which trends have endured, which have faded and what could shape industry priorities towards 2027.
SOFTSWISS will host an expert panel at SBC Summit Lisbon to examine how the iGaming industry has evolved over the past five years and what businesses may need to focus on as they look towards 2027.
The session, titled “2027 SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report | Five Years of iGaming: Which Trends Endured, Which Faded, and What Comes Next,” will take place on 29 September from 16:10 to 16:50 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa & MEO Arena.
The discussion will draw on five editions of the SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report, looking back at some of the shifts that have influenced industry conversations and operator priorities during this period.
Five years ago, wearable betting, NFTs and the metaverse were among the trends attracting significant attention across the industry. Today, AI, regulation, trust, localisation and emerging markets are playing a more prominent role in shaping operator strategies.
The panel will put these changes into context, examining what they mean for businesses in practical terms and where new opportunities could emerge as the industry continues to evolve.
The panel will feature:
- Serhii Avramchuk, Principal Account Industry Manager, Amazon Web Services.
- Denis Romanovskiy, Chief AI Officer at SOFTSWISS.
- Kate Puteiko, CMO at BGaming.
- Aggrey Sayi, CEO, Maybets.
- Elliott Gotkine, Emmy-winning journalist and former CNN and Bloomberg correspondent, as moderator.
Denis Romanovskiy, Chief AI Officer at SOFTSWISS, highlighted how quickly priorities have shifted across iGaming over the past five years, particularly in relation to artificial intelligence.
“Five years is a long time in iGaming. Some trends that once attracted a lot of attention have disappeared, while others have become part of how operators run their businesses.”
He added that the conversation around AI has increasingly moved away from its potential applications towards understanding where the technology can deliver practical value today.
The panel will bring together perspectives from across the ecosystem, including technology providers, suppliers, operators and media. The discussion will focus on actionable industry trends and what they could mean for operators’ strategies and priorities in the years ahead.
The fifth edition of the SOFTSWISS iGaming Trends Report will be unveiled on 29 September at SBC Summit Lisbon, coinciding with the panel discussion.
