ICE Barcelona deepens strategic partnership with CIBELAE, reinforcing its commitment to the Latin American industry

ICE Barcelona has strengthened its long-standing strategic alliance with CIBELAE, reaffirming the shared commitment of both organizations to promoting responsible gaming and advancing sustainability initiatives across Latin America.

This renewed collaboration builds on a partnership that has flourished for more than a decade. As the Ibero-American regional association of the World Lottery Association (WLA), CIBELAE represents state-regulated lotteries across Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.

To mark the enhancement of this partnership, Liliana Costa and Alessandra Narcisi, senior members of the Clarion Gaming team, took part in the XIX CIBELAE Congress, where they hosted a special activation offering CIBELAE members the chance to win an all-expenses-paid VIP trip to attend ICE Barcelona in January. The winner, Alan Marín Roldán, General Director of JPS – Junta de Protección Social of Costa Rica, received the prize during the Congress’ official dinner.

Rodrigo Cigliutti, Executive Director of CIBELAE, stated:
“At CIBELAE, we are proud to have hosted an event that represents a true milestone for the lottery sector, bringing together regulators and lottery authorities from across Latin America as well as Europe. The participation of ICE Barcelona and Clarion Gaming, global leaders in our industry, greatly enriched the event. In partnership with ICE Barcelona, we were also pleased to offer one attendee the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive trip and experience in Barcelona in January, a gesture that reflects the spirit of collaboration we seek to promote. We extend our sincere gratitude to ICE Barcelona and Clarion Gaming for their commitment and for being part of this edition of the CIBELAE Congress.”

Clarion Gaming’s Liliana Costa added:

“We are delighted that CIBELAE will be present at ICE Barcelona, bringing expert insights and analysis to the Lotteries Conference. This further strengthens our strategic alliance and reflects Latin America’s growing influence on the global gaming stage.
We are also pleased to confirm that ICE Barcelona will welcome key representatives from Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, who will participate in specialized content sessions within Academia América Latina—the highly anticipated education and networking platform we are launching to support regional training, best practices, and cross-market collaboration.”

ICE Barcelona will take place from 19–21 January 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. To register and take part in the world’s largest celebration of the gaming industry, visit the official ICE Barcelona website.
