Partnership will drive educational content, industry meetups, and regulatory knowledge-sharing across the global gaming sector
SBC Events has announced a new strategic partnership with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) to launch a three-year collaborative regulatory education initiative for the global igaming industry.
The agreement will see the three organisations work together on educational initiatives focused on regulation across SBC’s international events, media platforms, and content channels.
IAGR is recognised as the leading global organisation for gaming regulators, governed exclusively by regulatory authorities. SBC has established itself as a major international events, media, and content company serving the global gaming industry, while IMGL represents one of the world’s leading networks of specialist gaming lawyers, regulators, and professional advisors.
The initiative is designed to strengthen regulatory education, encourage international cooperation, and facilitate knowledge exchange through conferences, events, and dedicated content projects. Planned activities include interviews, expert commentary, podcasts, publications, and discussions addressing regulatory developments and challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
Ben Haden, President of IAGR, highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue between regulators and industry stakeholders.
“One of the biggest opportunities for gambling regulators worldwide is maintaining regular engagement with all parts of the industry in order to educate and exchange perspectives on the constantly evolving rules and laws affecting our sector. This partnership with SBC and IMGL will make communication between stakeholders significantly easier and help raise industry standards,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Marc Dunbar, President of IMGL, said the collaboration will help keep the industry informed about global regulatory developments.
“This is the ideal collaboration to keep the industry educated about what is permitted and what is not across international jurisdictions. IMGL’s network of igaming lawyers, combined with IAGR’s regulatory members and SBC’s global reach and extensive content portfolio, creates a powerful platform to keep the industry informed about the latest regulatory changes,” he explained.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, emphasised that regulation has become one of the most critical aspects shaping the gaming industry.
“Regulation has never been more important to the way companies operate within our sector, and the constantly evolving regulatory landscape makes compliance increasingly challenging. That is why I am proud to partner with IAGR and IMGL to provide SBC’s audience with the highest-quality information on how laws are changing around the world,” he commented.
One of the key projects planned for this year will be the introduction of a full schedule of regulatory meetups during SBC Summit Lisbon, taking place from September 29 to October 1, 2026. The initiative aims to provide stakeholders with up-to-date information on gambling and gaming market developments across multiple global jurisdictions.
The organisations will also support the upcoming IAGR Annual Conference, scheduled to take place in Lima, Peru, from October 19–22, 2026.
