GAT Expo Brings Together Mexico’s Key Gaming Industry Decision-Makers in Mexico City

The fourth edition of GAT Expo CDMX officially opened its doors on May 13 at Expo Santa Fe Convention Center, reaffirming its position as one of the leading meeting points for the gaming industry in Latin America. The event gathers operators, manufacturers, regulators, technology providers, and C-level executives from 25 countries for two days focused on innovation, networking, and strategic industry development.

Following a successful welcome reception held at Casino Big Bola the night before, the exhibition floor welcomed attendees early in the morning, with the highly anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at noon.

The inauguration featured the participation of Fadlala Akabani Hneide, Undersecretary of Government of Mexico City, alongside leading figures from the Mexican gaming industry, licensed operators affiliated with AIEJA, and representatives from major sponsoring and partner brands such as Pragmatic Play, Aristocrat, BetConstruct, Merkur Gaming, BETBY, Gaming Laboratories International, and Gamanza, among other key industry stakeholders.

Running alongside the exhibition, ALEA launched its professional course titled “Transformation of Casino Management Towards an Omnichannel and Integrated Entertainment Model.” Due to overwhelming demand and the quality of the educational content, registration for the program has already reached full capacity. The course will be delivered over eight hours across May 13 and 14.

The educational agenda also includes a series of corporate presentations focused on actionable strategies and emerging trends for the Latin American market. Gamanza will provide insights into behavioural gamification, while BETBY will present marketing strategies linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. José Carlos Figueroa from Gaming Laboratories International will lead a session on innovation and certification, while Colombian agency ByAds will explore data-driven creativity and advertising strategies.

The exhibition floor features a broad showcase of technological advancements and solutions for both land-based and online gaming verticals, including payment systems, furniture, marketing services, and operational technologies. Companies such as Amusnet, Oracle, and ProntoPaga are among the brands participating in this year’s edition.

One of the main commercial highlights comes from Merkur Gaming, which is showcasing its Modex Jcurve cabinet alongside new titles Wild Temple and Dimension Link, as well as the Dragor multi-game package featured on the Max Trio cabinet.

Meanwhile, Prometeo IT is presenting its latest solutions and operational tools from stand A49/A52, designed to optimize processes, strengthen control systems, and support the growth of both land-based and online casinos while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The first day of activities will conclude with a networking lunch at Central Central restaurant, where the IV Golf & Gaming Tournament will also be officially presented. The corporate social responsibility initiative, promoted by GAT Events, supports the SUMA and Criantia foundations.

José Aníbal Aguirre highlighted the importance of the Mexican market for the industry: “Mexico once again confirms why it is such a strategic market for the gaming industry across the continent. This edition brings together the true ecosystem of the sector, from operators and manufacturers to technology providers and associations that are shaping the future of the industry.”

GAT Expo CDMX will continue on May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., completing two days dedicated to business networking, technological innovation, executive education, and new business opportunities for the Latin American gaming market.More information and registration available at GAT Events CDMX
