From technological advancements and regulatory challenges to the importance of building bridges between the private sector and public authorities, this interview highlights the essential role of compliance and cybersecurity in a constantly evolving market.
P1: What innovations did your company showcase during your participation at PGS 2025?
R: At PGS 2025, we presented our comprehensive suite of services for the Latin American gaming industry, which includes compliance testing, cybersecurity protection, and free virtual training in regulatory compliance, available in both English and Spanish.
P2: What do you consider to be the strategic value of PGS for your brand in the current context of the Latin American gaming industry?
R: PGS is a central event for regulators, operators, and providers. As a global testing laboratory, it gives us direct access to all of them, allowing us to meet their needs and tailor our strategies to the market’s demands.
P3: How do you assess the growth of the Peruvian market, and what expansion opportunities do you identify in the region?
R: The Peruvian industry has shown steady growth, especially in the use of technological tools to attract diverse and multigenerational audiences. We’ve seen significant advancements in game product development, as well as in regulatory oversight to adapt to this evolution. Additionally, online gaming and sports betting are booming in Peru, with many national and international companies entering the regulated market.
P4: Based on your experience in the sector, what are the main trends or challenges currently facing the industry?
R: One of the key and ongoing challenges is ensuring that regulatory frameworks evolve alongside the market to foster private sector growth and deliver the expected benefits to the public sector. Recently, we’ve seen that some fiscal policies in the region have introduced tax obligations that could impact the industry’s development. The task, then, is to continue building bridges between governments and private institutions, as communication and collaboration are essential to balancing the interests of both sectors.
BMM Testlabs’ participation in PGS 2025 underscores the importance of responsible innovation and regulatory compliance as the foundation for sustainable growth. With a growing portfolio of comprehensive services tailored to the needs of the Latin American market, their vision reaffirms the critical role of partnerships between regulators, operators, and providers in building a secure and competitive gaming ecosystem in the region.
