SIS Partners with Academy to Create a Path into Tech

SIS has teamed up with Academy, a leading provider of technology training programs, to establish the SIS Academy, offering opportunities for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in technology.

The SIS Academy, a pioneering fully funded technical training program, will provide a 15-week immersive course led by expert instructors.

This collaboration with Academy represents SIS’s latest effort to ensure highly skilled individuals continue to enhance the company’s products and services.

Academy specializes in offering full-time, hybrid, and tailored immersive training programs in technology, incorporating self-directed learning, team projects, peer coaching, and faculty support throughout the course.

Julian Wheeler, Chief Technology Officer at SIS, stated, “SIS develops advanced software to automate TV production and real-time data processing for sports events. One of the benefits of this approach is that we’re able to recruit an entire graduate intake in one recruitment phase, take a whole cohort through training together, and then bring them into existing software teams, embedding the new graduates alongside experienced development teams.”

The program will commence with six weeks of foundational training in March 2024, followed by 15 weeks of full-time training starting in May 2024.

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will transition into roles such as Software Engineer, Software QA, or Business Analyst, with ample opportunities for career growth and development.

The SIS Academy encourages applications from individuals without a background in software engineering or computer science.

Candidates must already be eligible to work in the UK and be willing to work from SIS’ Milton Keynes office two to three times per week upon entering their full-time roles.
