Chile’s online betting market continues to demonstrate strong momentum in 2026. During the first quarter of the year, the sector recorded an 8.6% year-on-year increase, reaching a total of 72.4 million visits between January and March, according to an analysis by Apuesta Legal Chile.
Beyond the growth in traffic volume, the report highlights an ongoing transformation within the competitive landscape. The emergence and consolidation of new players, combined with the decline of some established brands, is shaping a more fragmented and evolving market.
The analysis notes that demand for online betting platforms remains robust, even as the industry continues to operate without a fully defined regulatory framework. While this has not slowed user interest, it has contributed to a more complex operational and legal environment.
In terms of traffic, JugaBet led the quarter with 19.5 million visits, followed by Betano with 13.1 million, and Stake with 11 million. Lotería Chilena ranked next with 9.1 million visits, while Coolbet Chile recorded 6.4 million.

One of the most notable developments during the period was Stake’s continued growth, securing its position among the market’s leading operators on both a quarterly and year-on-year basis. At the same time, JugaBet strengthened its leadership, while Betano, despite maintaining a strong presence, experienced a slight decline compared to the same period last year.
The report also links part of these shifts to regulatory actions taken in the country. In particular, domain blocking measures ordered by Chile’s Supreme Court over the past year appear to have contributed to traffic redistribution. According to the analysis, such actions do not eliminate demand but rather redirect it toward alternative domains, mirror sites, or other active platforms.
Another key finding is the gradual rise of local operators, which are gaining visibility, although they still trail international platforms in terms of scale.
Meanwhile, the regulatory and judicial landscape continues to evolve, with increasing signs of more active oversight of online betting operations in Chile.
According to Apuesta Legal Chile, the first quarter of 2026 highlights four major trends: increased overall traffic, shifts in operator rankings, greater prominence of local players, and a more active legal environment.
Taken together, these dynamics indicate that the Chilean market is not only expanding but also entering a new phase of structural reorganization, where competition, brand positioning, and regulation are beginning to redefine the industry landscape.
