Sportradar Group AG, a leading global sports technology company, has announced the launch of Playradar, a new brand designed to deliver a fully integrated ecosystem of cross-vertical gaming experiences for operators worldwide. The launch represents a significant step in the evolution of Sportradar’s iGaming business.
As part of this strategic expansion, Sportradar recently appointed Edo Haitin, former CEO of Playtech Live, to lead its iGaming division. With more than 20 years of experience across iGaming operations, live casino development, and executive leadership, Haitin brings valuable expertise to accelerate growth in this segment.
Playradar will leverage Sportradar’s live and historical sports data, as well as its audiovisual streaming capabilities, combining them with casino content to create unique, proprietary hybrid products. Key offerings include:
- 24/7 Live Experience Centre: enabling players to enjoy a game alongside a live stream on the same screen, merging sports entertainment and gaming for both engagement and real-money betting. The feature also fosters real-time player interaction.
- Live & Historical Sports/Casino Hybrid Content: transforming sporting moments into interactive gameplay by blending live and archived sports streams with casino mechanics. This also includes live prediction products powered by Sportradar’s data.
- Premium iGaming Content: featuring virtual sports and a comprehensive portfolio of casino games, including slots, table games, arcade, and crash titles, all developed to high-quality standards for an enhanced player experience.
Sportradar is uniquely positioned to scale its iGaming business through its game studio, sports data expertise, streaming capabilities, and global distribution network. Its marketing, acquisition, and retention technologies provide deep insights into player behavior across both betting and iGaming verticals, strengthening relationships with operators worldwide.
Playradar will operate exclusively in regulated markets, embedding responsible gaming and integrity into every product. Game releases are scheduled throughout 2026, with an initial rollout across the UK, North America, and Latin America. The portfolio will include table games, slots, arcade titles, and virtual sports.
Carsten Koerl, Founder and CEO of Sportradar, commented: “iGaming represents a natural and scalable extension of our business, as well as a strategic acceleration of our long-term growth roadmap. Playradar content is designed to optimize cross-sell between sports betting and casino, helping operators increase player value and session length at a time when engagement and retention are critical.”
Edo Haitin, EVP of iGaming, added: “By combining our expertise in sports data and live streaming with a strong track record in product development, we aim to create hybrid gaming experiences that capitalize on the growing popularity of sports-driven casino content. We are uniquely positioned to integrate sports events with innovative gaming mechanics and distribute these products across an already licensed global operator network.”
