New side event aims to offer a unique networking experience before the conference officially begins
AffPapa has announced it will host its first-ever padel tournament as a pre-networking side event for attendees of the AffPapa Conference Madrid, scheduled for May 18.
To give attendees the opportunity to meet and connect before the conference officially begins, AffPapa decided to introduce a fresh side-event concept that incorporates an activity many professionals in the industry already enjoy outside of work.In recent years, padel has gained significant popularity among iGaming professionals, with many industry figures regularly playing the sport, including AffPapa’s CEO, Levon Nikoghosyan.
Hosting a tournament therefore felt like a natural way to kick off the conference, fitting smoothly into the event schedule while providing a new starting point where attendees can interact in a more relaxed environment before the main agenda begins.
Levon Nikoghosyan, Founder and CEO of AffPapa, said:“We haven’t done anything like this before at AffPapa, but after how well the afterparties went in Cancun, it felt like the right time to try something different. This time, we wanted the pre-networking to stand out as well. A lot of people in the industry already play padel, so it made sense to turn it into something fun before the conference starts.”
Rather than jumping straight into formal sessions and meetings, the padel tournament is designed to create the right atmosphere for attendees to ease into the conference experience ahead of the two main event days. The side event is one of several activities included in the conference agenda, all designed to engage participants and create more opportunities for networking.
