Africa, Eastern Europe, Eurasia and the Far East will headline a dedicated conference track exploring the next wave of growth opportunities shaping the global gaming industry.
SBC Summit will shine a spotlight on some of the world’s fastest-growing gaming markets through its dedicated Emerging Markets Track, bringing together operators, regulators and regional experts to explore the opportunities and challenges driving expansion across Africa, Eastern Europe, Eurasia and the Far East.
Taking place on September 29, 2026, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, the conference forms part of SBC Summit’s Global & Emerging Markets Stage, one of six specialized conference stages featured during the event.
Designed to help delegates identify where future growth lies, the track will examine regulatory developments, player behavior, market entry strategies and commercial trends shaping these rapidly evolving jurisdictions.
SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark emphasized that identifying promising markets is only the beginning.
“The real challenge today is knowing where to invest your time, resources and capital. This track brings together the people who are already operating successfully in these markets, providing practical insights into regulation, sustainable growth and long-term success.”
The program begins with a deep dive into Africa, where executives from 888Africa, SportPesa, Maybets, Meridian Bet and Kingmakers will discuss the continent’s rapid expansion, changing player preferences and the growing shift toward regulated gaming markets.
A second panel will then explore Africa’s evolving regulatory framework, covering licensing, taxation, anti-money laundering, data protection and responsible gambling initiatives.
Attention will then shift to Central and Eastern Europe, examining how mature markets are adapting to rising taxes, tighter regulations and increased competition while identifying new opportunities emerging across the region.
The conference will also feature a dedicated session on Eurasia, exploring regulatory developments in markets such as Kazakhstan and Georgia, alongside broader opportunities throughout Central Asia and the Caucasus.
The day concludes with a discussion focused on the Far East, where industry leaders will analyze the regulatory evolution of the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and Macau, highlighting where reforms are opening regulated opportunities and where restrictions continue to tighten.
Beyond the conference sessions, delegates will also have access to SBC Summit’s new Regulatory Gaming Meetups, offering dedicated networking opportunities with regulators, legal experts and industry leaders representing Africa, Asia, the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, the Emirates and Eurasia.
SBC Summit 2026 will take place from September 29 to October 1 in Lisbon, bringing together more than 40,000 gaming professionals for three days of conferences, exhibitions and networking.
