The Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB), Brazil’s top professional basketball league, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Sportradar Group AG (NASDAQ: SRAD), a leading global sports technology company, aimed at driving international growth and innovation across the competition.
Under this multi-year agreement, Sportradar secures global audiovisual rights for betting and gaming, as well as betting data collection and distribution for one of the country’s most popular professional sports. The partnership covers all competitions within the LNB ecosystem, including the NBB Caixa — Brazil’s premier men’s professional basketball league — along with the Copa Super 8, Development League, Liga Ouro, Interligas, and the Interligas Development League.
As part of the collaboration, LNB will leverage Sportradar’s Synergy portfolio, including Synergy Stats for advanced data collection and analytics, and Synergy Coaching, an AI-powered video analysis and scouting platform. These tools will enable teams to break down game footage, analyze opponents, and assess talent more effectively.
Additionally, the league will integrate Sportradar’s industry-leading Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS AI), alongside educational workshops for players, administrators, and referees. These initiatives are designed to safeguard more than 620 matches per season against corruption and match-fixing risks.
Sergio Floris, Managing Director Brazil at Sportradar, commented: “This partnership with the LNB represents an exciting milestone as we support the next phase of basketball’s growth in Brazil. Sportradar already has a strong presence in the country through partnerships in football and volleyball, and welcoming Brazil’s top basketball league further strengthens this commitment. Together, we aim to elevate the competition through innovation, data, and integrity.”
Rodrigo Montoro, President of the LNB, added: “This partnership marks an important milestone for the league. Sportradar is a global benchmark in innovation, data, and integrity, and this agreement will play a key role in advancing Brazilian basketball starting next season. It also strengthens our position in both domestic and international markets, delivering meaningful benefits to the sport over the coming years.”
With an established integrity partnership with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and a comprehensive agreement with the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), the addition of the LNB completes Sportradar’s presence across Brazil’s three most popular sports. This milestone reinforces its commitment to supporting the development and protection of competitions that are central to fans’ passion.
