At SBC Summit Rio 2026, Digital Gaming News had the privilege of speaking exclusively with Celina Guedes, Regional Director for Brazil at EGT, about the company’s strategy in one of the most dynamic markets in the region and the opportunities emerging following industry regulation.
Global Experience and Local Adaptation: Keys to Growth in Brazil
Celina highlighted that EGT has been present in Brazil since the early stages of the regulatory process, allowing the company to quickly adapt to the market’s specific needs.
“We have extensive experience entering new markets, with a presence in over 30 countries. This allows us to bring our know-how and tailor it to local requirements,” she explained.
The company operates under international standards in regulated markets, enabling it to offer certified products with high quality and full compliance with local regulations.
Competitive Advantage in an Evolving Market
In an increasingly competitive environment, Guedes emphasized that early entry has been a key advantage. With nearly two years in the country, EGT has gained a deep understanding of the Brazilian market and strengthened its local presence with a specialized team and offices in São Paulo.
“Brazil is practically a continent, with different needs in each state. Being present from the early stages gives us an advantage to keep growing,” she noted.
She also highlighted EGT’s positioning as a comprehensive provider, offering solutions for both online and land-based segments.
Products Designed for the Brazilian Player
EGT has been actively adapting its portfolio with products specifically developed for the local market. One of the most notable initiatives is the manufacturing and assembly of machines in Brazil, tailored in design, size, and gameplay to match player preferences.
“We’ve developed models specifically for the Brazilian market, without compromising the quality that defines our products,” Guedes added.
Omnichannel: The Future of Gaming in Brazil
One of EGT’s key strategic pillars is the integration of digital and physical environments. The company has developed omnichannel solutions that allow users to register online and access physical machines via technologies such as QR codes, all within a single ecosystem.
This approach is already being implemented in projects such as the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery, where EGT is preparing to move forward with proof of concept phases and operational rollouts in the near term.
“We believe this synergy between digital and land-based will be essential for the development of the industry in Brazil,” she emphasized.
Global Presence and Next Steps
Finally, Guedes highlighted EGT’s active participation in major international industry events, with presence across key markets in Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
In the coming weeks, the company will continue its agenda at events such as SiGMA São Paulo, reinforcing its commitment to the growth of the Brazilian market.
