At SBC Summit Rio 2026, Digital Gaming News had the privilege of speaking exclusively with Dennis Algreen, Marketing Director at SBC, about the event’s strategic positioning in Brazil and its impact on the development of the iGaming ecosystem across the region.
Brazil as a Strategic Hub for the Industry
Dennis highlighted that Brazil has established itself as one of the most important markets for the industry globally, and will continue to play a key role in the years ahead. In this context, SBC Summit Rio stands out as a fundamental platform for driving industry growth.
“The goal is to provide the ideal environment to do business, discuss regulation, and explore where the industry is heading in Brazil,” he explained.
An Event Driven by Audience Quality
From a marketing perspective, one of the main objectives of this edition has been to ensure a highly qualified audience.
“The audience is what brings an event like this to life,” said Algreen. The 2026 edition has brought together more than 95% of licensed operators, along with affiliates, influencers, and key providers that drive the ecosystem.
In particular, he emphasized the role of affiliates and influencers in Brazil, who are becoming increasingly important within acquisition and marketing strategies across the region.
Networking and Strategic Value Beyond the Exhibition Floor
Beyond the exhibition area, SBC Summit Rio has established itself as a key platform for networking and business opportunities.
“We act as facilitators, connecting the right people in the right place to close deals, share knowledge, and prepare for the future of the industry,” he noted.
The event also serves as a key space to understand and adapt to regulatory changes, allowing industry stakeholders to exchange insights and build strong foundations for sustainable market development.
A Global Events Portfolio Driving the Industry Forward
Algreen also highlighted the growth of SBC’s global events portfolio, with upcoming events in Malta, Canada, the United States, and Lisbon, the latter being the company’s flagship event.
“Lisbon is our biggest event and one of the most important globally, with a strong presence from the Brazilian community every year,” he added.
