The event will take place on November 18 in Santo Domingo, bringing together leading operator associations, technology providers and gaming companies amid the introduction of the new Gambling Law 86-26.
The recent enactment of Gambling Law 86-26 marks a new chapter for the gaming industry in the Dominican Republic, raising expectations across different sectors as the market prepares for changes under the new regulatory framework.
Against this backdrop, GAT Expo Santo Domingo 2026, scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino, will bring together representatives from leading industry associations, operators, manufacturers and technology providers from the Dominican Republic and international markets.
Among the organisations set to participate are the National Federation of Lottery Betting Shops (FENABANCA), chaired by Juan Antonio Del Jesús; the Dominican Association of Sports Betting Shops (ADOBAD), represented by board members Leonardo Lantigua and Ariel Espinal; the Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos (ADCJ), led by David Moniz; and the National Association of Sports Betting Shops (ANBD), headed by Ricardo Nadal.
The participation of these associations will be one of the key highlights of the event, which will combine eight hours of commercial exhibition with dedicated spaces for discussion and analysis of the industry’s future. The gathering aims to strengthen relationships between industry associations, suppliers and operators at a pivotal time for the Dominican market.
National and international sponsors support the event
Sports betting operator RAZA.do leads the list of sponsors as Diamond Sponsor and will host the welcome cocktail, scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel.
Juancito Sport also joins the event as Platinum Sponsor, further strengthening the participation of Dominican companies in this international gathering.
GAT Santo Domingo is also supported by international companies, including BetConstruct, a provider of technology platforms for sports betting, casinos and iGaming solutions; Gamanza, a Swiss company specialising in platforms for regulated markets, gamification and player loyalty; and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), a global reference in certification and technical standards compliance.
Their participation will contribute to specialised knowledge-sharing and stronger business relationships across the gaming ecosystem.
Industry associations to discuss the new regulatory landscape
The GAT Talks programme, scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., will feature a panel discussion with representatives from the four Dominican associations, moderated by Yamile Gutiérrez, founder and director of G&G Studio Legal.
The discussion will address the different sectors’ perspectives on the new legislation, the main challenges surrounding its implementation and the opportunities it presents to strengthen business activity, encourage formalisation and promote the sustainable development of the gaming industry in the Dominican Republic.
The programme will also feature Andrés Blanco, Managing Director of Gamanza Engage, a European brand with a presence in several Latin American markets. His presentation will focus on marketing and player loyalty strategies supported by technology and behavioural psychology principles, designed to enhance the user experience and strengthen relationships between players and brands while taking ethical considerations and responsible gaming principles into account.
Meanwhile, José Carlos Figueroa, Regional Manager for the Caribbean at Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), will share his international experience in technical standards, certification and regulatory compliance, areas of particular relevance as the Dominican market undergoes regulatory changes.
Commercial exhibition welcomes new companies
The commercial exhibition will take place in the Anacaona Hall, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and continues to expand its offering with the addition of Lotobet, Loto Real, Sport Integrity Team (SIT), IGC and Mobbili.
These companies will join Demp Innovations, Prometeo, Cecomsa, Virtual Generation Caribe, Átomo Gaming, Bingo Maya, G&G Studio Legal, MIVISA, BYADS, Star Sport and Grupo Germán, creating an exhibition featuring solutions for land-based casinos, lottery betting shops, sports betting, virtual games, digital platforms and specialised services.
The exhibition will provide operators, suppliers and investors with opportunities to connect directly, explore new technology solutions and identify business opportunities across different industry verticals.
Santo Domingo concludes the GAT Events 2026 Circuit
GAT Expo Dominican Republic will be the final event of the GAT Events 2026 Circuit, which has held events throughout the year in Cartagena de Indias, Mexico City, São Paulo, San Juan and Bogotá, before concluding in Santo Domingo with this sixth edition.
Reflecting on the year’s achievements, José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, highlighted the circuit’s development and the positive reception of its different event formats across Latin American markets:
“I am very satisfied with the results of the GAT Events Circuit throughout the year that is coming to a close. We have adapted our format to each jurisdiction, and I believe we made the right decisions at every stop. There are winds of change across the region and, as always, we see them as opportunities and as a chance to introduce new elements to our events. The GAT Talks have been very well received, and we remain committed to strengthening operator education, with an emphasis on responsible gaming as a fundamental pillar of business sustainability and success. Of course, we look forward to welcoming you to Cartagena next year, on March 30, 31 and April 1.”
With eight hours of commercial activity and a programme focused on the regulatory challenges facing the Dominican market, GAT Expo RD 2026 is set to provide an important meeting point for industry stakeholders to exchange perspectives, connect with international suppliers and explore new business opportunities in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
