GAT Expo Cartagena to Gather Global Brands, Regional Authorities and Industry Leaders
In 2026, Cartagena de Indias will become the epicenter for regulatory dialogue, technological innovation, business development and strategic partnerships in the Latin American gaming industry. From March 24 to 26, the city will host GAT Expo Cartagena 2026, bringing together regulators, operators, suppliers and industry experts from across the region.
The event will begin on March 24 with a high-level academic agenda, followed by the commercial exhibition on March 25 and 26, alongside a strategic networking program designed to position Colombia as the starting point of the GAT Events 2026 Circuit, which will continue across the continent with stops in Mexico City, São Paulo, San Juan, Bogotá and Santo Domingo.
GAT Academy: regulatory analysis from Las Vegas to Argentina
The academic conference program will take place on March 24 at the La Niña Hall of the Las Américas Convention Center. The program will be led by Fecoljuegos, under the leadership of its president Evert Montero.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., industry experts and institutional representatives will provide a comprehensive overview of regulatory frameworks across the Americas, offering strategic insights into developments from North America to the Southern Cone.
For the first time, the event will feature the participation of Colombia’s Attorney General Gregorio Eljach Pacheco, who will deliver a message highlighting confidence in the country’s institutions and legal framework during a key electoral year.
From the economic perspective, Daniel Velandia, Managing Director Research and Chief Economist at Credicorp Capital, will present the keynote speech titled “Economic Outlook 2026”.
The opening conference will be delivered by Marco Emilio Hincapié, President of Coljuegos, reaffirming the regulator’s commitment to a modern, supervised and well-regulated gaming sector.
One of the key highlights will be the international keynote from Brian Krolicki, Vice Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, titled “Lessons from Nevada’s Regulatory Model for Latin America.”
The program will also explore the role of industry associations as representatives of operators before governments and their efforts to combat illegal gaming. Participants will include Fecoljuegos, AIEJA, SONAJA, ALEA, CORNAZAR, FEDELCO and APOJA.
Specialized panels will also address topics such as technological innovation, traceability, regulatory control, sports integrity and match-fixing prevention, with the participation of DIMAYOR. The session will be moderated by Germán Segura, General Manager of BetPlay.
Commercial exhibition showcasing the latest gaming technologies
On March 25 and 26, the Santa María halls of the Las Américas Convention Center will host the commercial exhibition, showcasing the latest innovations for casinos and gaming halls.
Leading land-based gaming manufacturers will present new slot machines, cabinets and technological solutions, including Novomatic, Aristocrat Gaming, Merkur Gaming, Win Systems, Alfastreet, R. Franco Group, SpinTec, Gambee and Royal Gaming.
The technology ecosystem will also include sports betting platforms, certification laboratories and specialized software providers such as Pragmatic Play, BetConstruct, Betby, Golden Race, Amusnet Interactive and Gamanza Group.
Financial solutions and payment platforms like TumiPay will also be present, alongside institutional participants such as the Lotería de Cundinamarca and strategic partners including Carta Mundi and BYADS.
