At SBC Summit Rio, Digital Gaming News had the exclusive opportunity to speak with Michele Fischer, Vice President of SIS, about the evolution of the betting market in Latin America and the company’s strategy in Brazil.
SIS’s Differentiation in the World of eSports
During the interview, Fischer highlighted that one of the main challenges in the region is the perception of eSports as a broad concept encompassing various types of games, from shooting and strategy games to sports games. However, SIS specializes in the sports segment, developing leagues specifically designed for the betting industry.
“Our league, the H2H Global Gaming League, focuses on sports-based eSports such as football and basketball, with betting markets similar to live sports. This is a key differentiator, as we ensure a high level of regulatory compliance and oversight,” Fischer explained.
Expansion and Consolidation in the Brazilian Market
Regarding SIS’s presence in Brazil, Fischer emphasized the company’s strong start in the country, with three products already live: football and basketball eSports, horse racing, and numbers games. However, the key to its consolidation lies in regulatory clarity and compliance with local regulations.
“For us, Brazil is a growing market, and we are focused on obtaining our supplier license this year,” the executive stated.
Future Outlook
With a strategy based on regulation, transparency, and innovation in sports betting products, SIS continues its expansion in Brazil and Latin America. The company is positioning itself as a key player in the industry, ensuring a secure and engaging environment for both operators and bettors.
