French giants attract the majority of bets as Arsenal head into the final as underdogs
Betting data from Sportradar and its Managed Trading Services (MTS) division shows Paris Saint-Germain entering the UEFA Champions League Final as the clear favourite among bettors worldwide.
Processing betting tickets for more than 250 sportsbooks globally, Sportradar provides a broad overview of fan engagement and betting behaviour across the tournament’s key markets.
Across final result, outright winner and goalscorer markets, PSG has emerged as the dominant pick ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated clash.
For the final itself, 75% of betting tickets are backing PSG to lift the trophy, compared to 25% supporting Arsenal, positioning the Premier League side as the underdog despite reaching Europe’s biggest stage. These figures include both 90-minute result betting (1X2) and outright winner bets, which also cover extra time and penalties.
Interestingly, betting activity throughout the tournament painted a slightly different picture. In the UEFA Champions League outright winner market — which includes all bets placed during the competition on either team to win the title — Arsenal attracted a higher share of tickets with 56%, while PSG accounted for 44%.
Confidence in the French side is also strongly reflected in the goalscorer markets. Ousmane Dembélé stands out as the most backed player to score, accounting for nearly 46% of betting tickets, followed by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with approximately 28%, reinforcing bettors’ confidence in PSG’s attacking power.
By comparison, Arsenal players feature far less prominently in scoring markets, with no individual player surpassing 5% of total betting tickets. Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres received the third-highest number of bets overall at 5.11%, while five additional Gunners accounted for just over 9.5% combined: Eberechi Eze (3.46%), Bukayo Saka (2%), Declan Rice (1.7%), Martin Odegaard (1.21%) and Kai Havertz (1.15%).
Sportradar’s insights also highlight the enormous global engagement surrounding the UEFA Champions League, with more than 513 million betting tickets processed throughout the tournament, underlining the competition’s worldwide appeal and reach.
