With less than two months to go before its inaugural edition, LiGA Summit 2026 will bring together operators, regulators, suppliers, affiliates and investors in Lima. Ahead of the event, Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C. CEO Jonathan Felix shares exclusive insights into Peru’s evolving gaming market.
As anticipation builds for LiGA Summit 2026, the Latin American gaming industry is preparing for one of the region’s most important business gatherings. The event will take place on 17–18 September at El Pardo Lima – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, bringing together operators, regulators, affiliates, suppliers, investors and technology providers from across Latin America.
Ahead of the summit, Eventus International will host a LinkedIn Live webinar on 4 August at 11:00 Peru time, where leading industry experts will discuss Peru’s regulatory landscape, market developments and emerging opportunities.
The event will also feature the Prediction Markets Summit Americas 2026, a dedicated half-day conference stream taking place on 18 September, focused on prediction markets, forecasting infrastructure and event-based gaming products within regulated markets.
Global Business Company de Peru to showcase its expertise
Among the confirmed exhibitors is Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C., a Peruvian consultancy with more than a decade of experience supporting business development, investment projects and regulatory advisory services across Latin America.
Based in Lima, the company has worked with organisations from the United States, Europe and Asia across B2B, B2C and B2G markets, while also advising regulatory authorities such as COLJUEGOS in Colombia and MINCETUR in Peru.
The company’s CEO, Jonathan Felix, will participate as a speaker during LiGA Summit and has shared his perspective on Peru’s rapidly evolving gaming landscape.
Peru continues to strengthen its regulated market
According to Jonathan Felix, Peru has entered a new era for the gaming industry.
“Today, Peru has a fully regulated gaming sector. It is a mature and highly competitive market where traditional products such as lotteries coexist with the rapid growth of sports betting and online gaming experienced over the last two decades.”
Felix highlighted Peru as one of Latin America’s most attractive gaming markets, alongside Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela.
The country currently has 49 licensed B2C operators authorised by MINCETUR, several licensed lottery operators and more than 600 land-based casinos, creating significant opportunities for both local and international investors.
However, he stressed that success will require innovation.
“New operators must develop disruptive business models and differentiated commercial strategies if they want to stand out in such a competitive environment.”
Industry collaboration remains essential
Jonathan Felix also emphasised the importance of stronger cooperation between regulators and the private sector.
He believes Latin American regulators are increasingly working together to address challenges such as illegal gambling, responsible gaming and adapting regulations to rapidly changing consumer behaviour.
At the same time, B2B and B2C companies continue contributing valuable operational experience, technological innovation and market intelligence that support more effective regulation.
Strategic advice for international investors
For companies looking to enter Latin America, Felix recommends conducting thorough market analysis, understanding local regulatory frameworks and designing business strategies tailored to each country’s specific realities.
This approach, he believes, allows businesses to minimise risks while building sustainable long-term growth.
Looking ahead to LiGA Summit, Felix said he is eager to exchange ideas with industry leaders and contribute to the development of Peru’s gaming ecosystem.
“We look forward to learning from companies already operating in the market, sharing our own expertise and helping strengthen business development and future investment opportunities in Peru.”
A key event for Latin America’s gaming industry
LiGA Summit 2026 will explore how regulated gaming markets across Latin America are moving from legislation to real-world implementation while creating valuable networking opportunities for operators, suppliers, regulators and investors.
The conversation begins on 4 August with the official LinkedIn Live webinar, before continuing at LiGA Summit in Lima this September, where companies such as Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C. will share their expertise and strategic vision for the region.
