The inaugural season concluded during SiGMA World in Rome, featuring international sports personalities and the announcement of six tournaments across Europe and Latin America for the 2027 edition.
Blokotech brought the inaugural Bloko Padel Tour season to a close with its Grand Final in Rome, where the 2026 champions were crowned following a debut season that brought together members of the international iGaming community through padel, sporting competition and networking opportunities.
Held on Wednesday, November 4, alongside SiGMA World, the Grand Final brought together the circuit’s top players to compete for the season’s titles. The competition reached its final stage following tournaments in Buenos Aires, Malta, Miami and Mexico City.
In the Beginners category, Rommel Bucheli and Edu Molina were crowned champions after defeating Yosef Kamel and Ronaldo Molina, who finished as runners-up. In the Advanced category, Borja Jiménez and Francisco Amat claimed the title, while Nicolás Castearena and Andrés Troelsen secured second place.
One of the main highlights of the event was Marco Materazzi, Italian football icon and World Cup champion, who attended as the official ambassador of the Bloko Padel Tour. The former footballer joined participants at Pavilion 9, which was transformed into a dedicated meeting space for the iGaming community, featuring a competition court, VIP areas, a bar and entertainment.
The Grand Final also welcomed other prominent sporting figures, including former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella, who took part in an exhibition match on November 3.
Marco Materazzi, official ambassador of the Bloko Padel Tour, shared his experience at the event:
“It has been a real pleasure to be part of the Bloko Padel Tour and experience the passion and energy of the Grand Final firsthand. Padel is a sport that brings people together, and that is exactly what this circuit has achieved. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and seeing the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the players. I am proud to be an ambassador for this initiative and look forward to seeing it grow even further in 2027.”
The sporting action continued on November 5 with One Point by Blokotech, a padel competition in which every point counts. Designed to deliver excitement for both players and spectators, the format sees participants compete in single-point matches, with the winner crowned at the end of the day.
Beyond the sporting competition, the Bloko Padel Tour has developed into an international networking platform for the iGaming industry, bringing together executives and industry representatives in an environment beyond traditional trade shows and conferences. The initiative aims to create professional connections and strengthen relationships across the international community.
Six international tournaments planned for the 2027 season
Following the success of its inaugural edition, Blokotech confirmed that the Bloko Padel Tour will return in 2027 with a calendar of six international tournaments across Europe and Latin America, in collaboration with SiGMA.
The circuit will kick off in Barcelona on January 18, during ICE, followed by Buenos Aires on March 15, São Paulo on April 5, Malta on May 3, and Mexico City, before concluding with the Grand Final in Rome.
The Beginners and Advanced categories will once again feature in the competition. Players will accumulate ranking points throughout the season’s tournaments to secure their place in the Grand Final.
Salvatore Messina, Co-Founder and CEO of Blokotech, highlighted the achievements of the inaugural season and the company’s expectations for the year ahead:
“Rome delivered the final the Bloko Padel Tour deserved! Congratulations to our champions and everyone who made our inaugural season a success. It has been fantastic to see the industry come together, combining healthy competition with great opportunities to connect and build relationships beyond the exhibition floor. We could not have asked for a better first season, and we look forward to returning in 2027 with an even bigger and better circuit.”
Registration for the 2027 Barcelona tournament is now open through the official Blokotech website. Participants can register individually or as a pair.
By combining sport, entertainment and professional networking, the Bloko Padel Tour is preparing for another international season, aiming to expand its reach across the global iGaming community.
