HIPTHER has announced an official partnership with the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), formalising a relationship that has developed over more than a decade through collaboration, expert participation and high-level regulatory discussions across HIPTHER’s events.

The agreement marks a new chapter for both organisations and strengthens the legal and regulatory dimension of HIPTHER’s European conference portfolio. It will also bring the expertise of an international organisation focused on gaming law, regulation and education closer to the HIPTHER community.

The partnership will officially begin at the HIPTHER Warsaw Summit 2026, taking place on 27–28 October at the InterContinental Warsaw. IMGL experts will contribute to the programme as speakers, alongside a dedicated IMGL Masterclass focused on key regulatory issues affecting the gaming sector.

From Long-Standing Collaboration to Official Partnership

While the partnership is becoming official now, HIPTHER and IMGL have worked together for many years.

IMGL members and leadership figures have contributed to HIPTHER conferences and predecessor events since the early stages of the organisation’s event portfolio, bringing legal, regulatory and policy expertise to discussions around the development of regulated gaming markets across Europe and internationally.

Over time, IMGL Masterclasses have also become part of the wider HIPTHER conference programme, creating dedicated spaces for lawyers, regulators and industry professionals to examine regulatory developments and their practical implications.

Formalising the relationship builds on this history of collaboration and reinforces both organisations’ commitment to specialised education, informed regulatory dialogue and meaningful exchange between the industry, legal community and regulators.

Bringing International Gaming Law Expertise to HIPTHER

IMGL is a global, nonprofit association bringing together more than 300 gaming attorneys, regulators, educators, executives, compliance professionals and other industry experts.

Its members bring expertise in gaming law and regulation across jurisdictions worldwide, contributing to discussions around some of the key legal and regulatory challenges facing the international gambling industry.

Education is central to IMGL’s work. Alongside its conferences, publications and professional development activities, the organisation delivers IMGL Masterclasses at industry events around the world, bringing together experienced lawyers, regulators, executives and other specialists to examine evolving legal and regulatory issues.

Through the partnership, HIPTHER Events will provide an additional European platform for this expertise while strengthening the international perspective of its regulatory and compliance content.

The participation of IMGL experts and the dedicated Masterclass will add another layer of international legal and regulatory expertise to the programme, providing a space to examine issues that increasingly influence how gaming businesses operate, expand and innovate across different jurisdictions.

For the first edition of the partnership, the IMGL Masterclass will focus on prediction markets, a topic at the intersection of gaming, regulation, technology and emerging market models.
