The second edition of GAT Expo Puerto Rico will take place on 9 September at The Condado Plaza Hotel, bringing together a full day of exhibition, conferences and networking.
The gaming and betting industry will once again gather in San Juan for the second edition of GAT Expo Puerto Rico 2026, taking place on 9 September at The Condado Plaza Hotel.
Following its successful debut in Puerto Rico in 2025, GAT Events is reaffirming its commitment to the market with a one-day event bringing together regulators, operators, manufacturers, suppliers and industry executives from Puerto Rico and international markets.
The event will combine regulatory updates, product and technology showcases, business opportunities and networking, providing a platform to examine the development and growth potential of Puerto Rico’s gaming market.
The participation and support of the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission will be a key element of the event, encouraging dialogue between regulators, operators and suppliers interested in entering the market or strengthening their existing presence.
A day focused on knowledge, business and networking
The commercial exhibition will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., giving operators and industry professionals the opportunity to explore technologies, products, services and solutions across multiple gaming verticals.
Conferences and specialist discussions will begin at 11:00 a.m., featuring representatives from the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission, industry executives and experts addressing key topics affecting the local and regional markets.
The event will conclude at 7:00 p.m. with a closing cocktail and networking session at the hotel.
José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, said:
“We are returning to San Juan for our second edition because we believe in the regulator’s work and the positive impact it has been generating across the industry in Puerto Rico. This year, we have decided to concentrate the activities into a single day to offer a cohesive and productive experience, where conferences, exhibition and networking complement each other and allow participants to make the most of every opportunity.”
Aguirre also highlighted the support received from companies, authorities and gaming industry leaders participating in this year’s event.
A market undergoing growth and transformation
The continued development of Puerto Rico’s gaming market will be one of the key areas of focus during the event.
According to information released by the regulator in July, 21 authorised casinos are currently operating across the island, while three additional casinos are projected to open in Ponce, Mayagüez and Carolina between 2028 and 2029. If completed, these projects would bring the total number of casinos to 24.
In 2026, the Gran Casino Viejo San Juan also opened its doors as Puerto Rico’s 21st authorised casino, following an investment of approximately USD 11 million.
According to the regulator, the casino industry continues to contribute close to USD 200 million to Puerto Rico’s economy.
Sports betting is also experiencing significant growth. The market currently has nine authorised operators, four of which also operate casinos.
During the 2024-2025 fiscal year, gaming volume reached USD 313.16 million, almost twice the figure recorded in the previous period.
Meanwhile, the regulation of route-based gaming machines has generated close to USD 30 million in revenue, benefiting, among others, the General Fund, municipalities and the Police Retirement Trust.

The second edition of GAT Expo Puerto Rico will feature the participation of major companies from the international gaming industry.
