The Costura Cidadã initiative, developed during the Olinda Carnival, has been nominated for Responsible Business of the Year for its social, economic and environmental impact.
Esportes Gaming Brasil (EGB), the group behind Esportes da Sorte, Onabet and Lottu, has been named a finalist at the Global Gaming Awards Americas 2026 in the Responsible Business of the Year category.
The nomination recognises Costura Cidadã, a project developed during the Olinda Carnival focused on creating income opportunities, providing professional training and strengthening the local creative economy.
More than 80 women from the community received training in sewing and textile production, helping create pieces used during the company’s Carnival activations while gaining new employment opportunities.
The initiative also supported street vendors, traditional carnival groups and local organisations in Olinda, alongside recycling and responsible waste-management initiatives in Recife and Salvador.
In Caicó, Rio Grande do Norte, EGB also worked with local suppliers to produce part of the promotional materials used during its Carnival activations.
The company complemented these initiatives with carbon-offsetting, material reuse and responsible waste-management programmes.
Winners of the Global Gaming Awards Americas 2026 will be selected by a jury of senior gaming industry executives, with the process independently audited by KPMG.
The winners will be announced on September 28 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E).
