GAT Events enters Brazil with GAT Official Launch 2026, paving the way for a major business expo in 2027

São Paulo will welcome industry leaders, operators, regulators, and suppliers on July 29-30 for an exclusive event that marks GAT Events’ official entry into the Brazilian market.

GAT Events is set to take another step in its international expansion strategy with the launch of GAT Official Launch Brasil, taking place on July 29-30 at the Jockey Club de São Paulo. The event will serve as the prelude to the company’s flagship business exhibition, scheduled to debut in São Paulo during the second half of 2027.

With more than 27 years of experience, GAT Events has established itself as one of Latin America’s leading organizers of gaming industry events. Founded in Colombia in the late 1990s, the company has built a strong reputation through its exhibitions in Cartagena and Bogotá, bringing together operators, suppliers, manufacturers, regulators, and industry stakeholders across all gaming verticals, with a particular focus on land-based casinos.

Since 2021, GAT has expanded its international footprint into markets including the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, strengthening its position as a comprehensive platform that combines exhibitions, regulatory conferences, professional education, institutional networking, and trend analysis for the gaming and entertainment industries.

Brazil: the region’s fastest-growing gaming market

GAT’s arrival in Brazil reflects the country’s growing importance following the regulation of its iGaming market. In just over a year, Brazil has become one of the world’s most promising gaming jurisdictions, attracting significant interest from operators, suppliers, investors, and technology companies.

Against this backdrop, GAT Official Launch Brasil represents the first step toward a corporate-focused business exhibition designed to become one of the industry’s premier meeting points in Latin America.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, highlighted Brazil’s strategic importance for the company’s future.

“We know that Brazil is currently the most important and promising market in Latin America. Its regulatory progress, the size of its economy, the scale of its population, and the growing interest from suppliers, operators, and investors make it a strategic and essential destination for any company connected to the gaming industry.”

Aguirre also announced the appointment of Alex W. Pariente, Founder & Principal of Pariente Advisory, as Chair of GAT Official Launch Brasil. The internationally recognized gaming and hospitality executive will oversee the conference program and help shape the content of the inaugural edition.

“Brazil is experiencing a unique period of technological development, particularly in the online casino and sports betting sectors. Industry experts also expect significant progress in the land-based casino segment throughout the remainder of this decade, likely driven by the hospitality industry. We are therefore delighted to welcome Alex W. Pariente to the GAT team to help lead this important initiative,” Aguirre said.

Alex W. Pariente emphasized the significance of the current moment for Brazil’s gaming industry.

“Brazil is writing the rules of one of the world’s most important gaming markets in real time. The challenge now is to build institutions—not just events—and to do so with the highest possible standards.”

Strategic partnerships strengthen the project

For its Brazilian debut, GAT Events will be supported by World Gaming Business, the Clarion Gaming media brand behind internationally renowned events such as ICE Barcelona and iGB L!VE, which joins the initiative as the official Media Partner.

The event’s production and logistics will be managed by Azul Play, a company with more than 20 years of experience organizing corporate events and trade shows across Brazil and other international markets.

These strategic partnerships further reinforce GAT’s international positioning while strengthening its connection with one of the world’s fastest-growing regulated gaming markets.

Bringing together the industry’s key decision-makers

Over two days, GAT Official Launch Brasil will gather senior executives, regulators, associations, operators, suppliers, and investors in São Paulo for an exclusive business-focused event centered on executive networking, strategic discussions, and new commercial opportunities.

One of the highlights of the event will be the participation of the GAT Brasil Ambassadors, a distinguished group of industry leaders who will headline the conference agenda on July 30.

The ambassador lineup includes Neil Montgomery, Founder of Montgomery Associados; Amilton Noble, CEO of Hebara; Bárbara Teles, Co-Founder of AMIG; Ricardo Magri, Co-Founder of EBAC; Plínio Lemos Jorge, President of the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL); Bruno Omori, President of IDT-CEMA; Alex W. Pariente, Founder & Principal of Pariente Advisory and Chair of GAT Official Launch Brasil; and Sávio Prado, Secretary of the Business Advocacy Alliance (ALAE).

José Aníbal Aguirre praised the ambassadors for their contribution to the event.

“The GAT Brasil Ambassadors are the cornerstone of our arrival in Latin America’s largest market. I sincerely appreciate their willingness to join this initiative and their valuable contribution to shaping the conference program.”

Pre-event webinar and official agenda

Ahead of the event, GAT Events and World Gaming Business will host a free webinar for the international gaming community interested in Brazil. The session will feature the GAT Ambassadors, industry associations, keynote speakers, and representatives of companies participating in the launch.

The official program will begin on July 29 with an exclusive welcome dinner at Vicky Barcelona, where guests will enjoy an Iberian-inspired culinary experience created by Chef Edu Bonfim.

On July 30, the Jockey Club de São Paulo will host the official opening ceremony, followed by a conference program covering key industry topics, including online gaming regulation, sports betting integrity, Responsible Gaming, the role of land-based casinos in tourism development, regulatory evolution, and the future of Brazil’s lottery sector.

The event will conclude with a networking cocktail designed to foster new business relationships and celebrate GAT Events’ official arrival in Brazil.
