Only three weeks remain until LiGA Summit 2026 officially opens its doors in Lima, bringing together leading regional and international stakeholders from the iGaming industry on June 15–16 at the El Pardo Lima – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
The event arrives at a pivotal moment for the region, particularly following the implementation of Peru’s new regulatory framework for online gaming and sports betting, a development that has positioned Peru as one of the most closely watched gaming markets in Latin America.
The summit agenda will cover topics including affiliate compliance, responsible marketing, AML and KYC requirements, player protection, regulation, and sustainable growth across emerging LatAm markets.
Peru emerging as a regional regulatory benchmark
Among the confirmed speakers is Nicolás Samohod, Founder and Managing Partner of Samohod Law Firm, who highlighted the progress Peru has made since the implementation of Law No. 31557.
According to Samohod, Peru has already accumulated nearly two and a half years of full regulation for online gaming and sports betting, achieving strong levels of market formalization and legal certainty for both domestic and international operators.
“It is becoming increasingly clear to me that Peruvian gaming legislation is among the best not only in the continent, but in the world,” he stated.
He also emphasized that Peru’s regulatory framework represents a modern, efficient, and responsible model that could serve as a benchmark for other regional markets.
Regarding LiGA Summit 2026, Samohod noted that the event will help standardize regulatory discussions and encourage the sharing of best practices across Latin America.
Brand building and authentic engagement
Meanwhile, Celeste Arredondo, Founder of International Gaming Women, highlighted Peru’s growing importance within the regional ecosystem.
“Peru is consolidating itself as one of the most relevant markets in Latin America thanks to regulatory evolution, digital growth, and increasing international operator interest,” she explained.
Arredondo also emphasized the growing importance of authentic storytelling and community building within the industry.
“Growth today no longer depends only on acquisition, but also on positioning, reputation, and long-term relationships,” she added.
For her, the summit will provide a key platform for strategic discussions and for strengthening Latin America’s position within the global iGaming industry.
Player psychology and sustainable engagement
Another featured speaker will be Renzo Escalante, CEO of Clases Play, who will focus on player psychology and sustainable engagement.
Escalante explained that the industry is going through a period of accelerated maturity where simple user acquisition is no longer enough.
“The real challenge lies in understanding what motivates players, how they make decisions, and which factors create sustainable relationships with brands,” he said.
He also highlighted that Latin American players possess unique cultural and emotional characteristics, making behavioural analysis a strategic necessity for operators, affiliates, and providers.
From his perspective, events such as LiGA Summit 2026 are essential for building a more collaborative and responsible vision for the future of the industry.
Influencer marketing, compliance, and responsible acquisition
Within the marketing and acquisition space, Paulo Tuya, Founder and CEO of XP Agencia, will discuss creator partnerships and conversion strategies.
Tuya argued that meaningful commercial impact depends not only on an influencer’s reach, but on the ability to create authentic connections with highly specific communities.
“Creators should be viewed as strategic partners, not simply as sources of reach,” he explained.
He also highlighted how compliance has become an essential part of the creative process in regulated markets.
“Today, competitive advantage no longer comes only from having the most aggressive offer, but from building trust, clarity, and legitimacy within the acquisition funnel,” he added.
Responsible gaming and sustainability in LatAm
Player protection will also play a central role throughout the summit.
Fernanda Batistella, Partner and Lawyer at MYLAW Advogados, will participate in discussions surrounding responsible gaming tools and consumer protection.
Batistella noted that Latin America faces the challenge of developing regulatory frameworks that are technically efficient, legally clear, and compatible with the operational realities of markets that are still consolidating.
“The region needs to advance mechanisms for early identification of risky behaviour, responsible data usage, self-exclusion tools, and cooperation between regulators, operators, and technology providers,” she explained.
From a legal and regulatory perspective, she believes the summit arrives at a crucial moment for the future development of the region’s gaming industry.
A key gathering for the future of gaming in Latin America
LiGA Summit 2026 will bring together executives, affiliates, regulators, lawyers, operators, and specialists leading some of the most important conversations shaping the future of gaming in Latin America.
Organizers are encouraging industry professionals to secure their participation before remaining spots are filled.
