Gaming in Holland Conference 2026 unveils preliminary agenda focused on reclaiming the regulated market

The event will bring together key industry leaders in the Netherlands to discuss strategies against the growth of illegal gambling operators

Gaming in Holland Conference has announced the preliminary agenda for its 2026 edition, scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 4, in Amsterdam. As in previous years, the event will gather leading decision makers and stakeholders from the regulated Dutch gambling market.

Under the theme “#ReclaimTheMarket,” this year’s conference will focus heavily on one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: the rise of illegal operators and increasing unfair competition across the European online gambling landscape.

The agenda will feature sessions dedicated to regulation, player protection, market trends and strategies aimed at recovering market share from offshore platforms. Confirmed speakers include Ella Seijsener, Director of Licensing & Supervision at the Netherlands Gambling Authority; Arjan Blok, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij; Petra de Ruiter, CEO of Holland Casino; and Pascal Chaffard, Chief Online Betting and Gaming Officer at FDJ United.

One of the most anticipated panels will explore the question “#ReclaimTheMarket: Will players go along?”, bringing together affiliate and platform representatives to analyse player behaviour amid the growth of illegal gambling offerings.

The conference will also feature expert presentations covering the size and evolution of the Dutch gambling market, regulatory assessments, comparisons between legal and offshore offerings, and emerging compliance requirements.

In addition to the main-stage programme, Gaming in Holland Conference 2026 will include practical breakout sessions focused on regulatory and operational topics, including Dutch gambling licence renewals and AMLR/AMLA compliance for operators.

Gaming in Holland founder Willem van Oort highlighted the importance of the discussions expected during the event.

“While the annual Gaming in Holland Conference has always been the leading place to receive the latest updates on the Dutch gambling market, this year we are addressing one of the biggest issues facing regulated operators: how to reclaim market share from increasingly aggressive illegal competitors. There are no simple solutions, but that does not mean the regulated industry is powerless. With all major stakeholders gathering in Amsterdam, I am confident we will spark a highly valuable discussion,” he said.

The 2026 Gaming in Holland Conference will take place at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam on Thursday, June 4. Registration is now officially open.
