Fast-growing UK-based sportsbook and online casino Midnite has further strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Alex Henderson as Vice President of Compliance.
Henderson brings extensive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, and operational risk within the gambling industry. Throughout his career, he has worked with established operators, law enforcement agencies, and consulting firms, offering a balanced perspective on both commercial and regulatory challenges.
His appointment follows other key additions to the company, including Zach Amin as Vice President of Sportsbook and Andrew Mook as Head of Brand Marketing — both joining from Flutter.
In his new role, Henderson will oversee regulatory compliance, improve internal processes, and support Midnite’s ongoing focus on safer gambling and operational integrity under its UK licence.
“I’m genuinely excited to be joining Midnite at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Henderson. “Everyone I’ve met so far has been incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about what they’re building. There’s a strong sense of ambition matched by a true commitment to doing things right.”
Midnite was founded in 2018 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, who previously developed the daily fantasy sports platform Dribble in partnership with Sky Bet. In April, the company announced a £7.7 million investment to support its ambitious growth plans. Since then, it has secured high-profile sponsorship deals with the World Snooker Championship, Southampton Football Club, and Sheffield United Football Club.
The brand is on a mission to disrupt the UK betting market by prioritising player experience through a sleek website and app, as well as a brand platform designed to engage a new generation of players.
“We’re building Midnite to be the most exciting betting brand in the UK, but also the most trusted — and that means taking compliance seriously,” said Wright. “Alex brings heavyweight experience and exactly the mindset we value: sharp, pragmatic, and unafraid to raise the bar. His appointment reflects the standards we expect and the culture we’re creating.”
