Betoro Becomes Title Partner of Denmark’s Men’s Handball League for Three Seasons

The Danish-licensed bookmaker and casino has signed a three-year agreement with Tophåndbold. From the 2026/27 season, the competition will be known as Betoro Herreligaen.

A partnership to strengthen Betoro’s presence in Danish sport

Betoro has signed a three-season title partnership with Denmark’s Men’s Handball League, covering the 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 seasons. Under the agreement, the competition will be renamed Betoro Herreligaen from the start of the 2026/27 season.

The partnership will include activities at arenas and across digital channels, with initiatives designed to engage fans. Betoro’s national “Power Your Play” campaign will also feature in activities connected to the league.

The three-year agreement gives Betoro and Tophåndbold an opportunity to develop initiatives over the long term, involving clubs and their supporters.

Fan engagement and responsible gambling

Thomas Christensen, CEO of Tophåndbold, said the agreement recognizes the work of the elite clubs and provides stability to support the continued development of Danish handball.

Mikkel Skovby, Betoro Brand Manager, highlighted handball’s importance in Danish sporting culture and said the company looks forward to helping increase the league’s visibility.

The partnership will also include a dedicated responsible gambling project aimed at the handball community and people who follow the sport.

Betoro stated that its platform, betoro.dk, uses MitID for identity verification and integrates with ROFUS, Denmark’s self-exclusion system. The country also offers StopSpillet, a free and confidential service providing support for people experiencing gambling-related problems.

Through this agreement, Betoro strengthens its presence in Danish sport while establishing a long-term partnership with the country’s leading men’s handball competition.
