SBC Launches Global Prediction Markets Forum in Lisbon

The new standalone event will bring together operators, regulators, investors, and policymakers to explore the future of one of the industry’s fastest-growing sectors.

SBC has announced the launch of the Global Prediction Markets Forum, a new standalone event dedicated to the rapidly evolving prediction markets sector, bringing together key stakeholders from the betting, finance, and regulatory industries.

Scheduled for 1 October in Lisbon, alongside SBC Summit, the forum will welcome operators, regulators, investors, and policymakers to discuss the commercial opportunities, regulatory challenges, and long-term future of prediction markets.

Hosted at the Myriad by SANA Hotel, the one-day event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, fireside chats, and case studies covering topics such as regulatory developments in the United States and Europe, player protection, integrity, and the growing convergence between sports betting and financial trading.

Key discussion topics include:

  • The evolution of prediction markets.
  • Regulatory developments across the US and Europe.
  • Prediction markets versus traditional sportsbooks.
  • Player protection and market integrity.
  • The convergence of sports betting and financial trading.
  • Future growth opportunities for the sector.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said:

“It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a topic generate this much excitement across the industry. This forum is no longer about explaining what prediction markets are—it’s about understanding where they’re heading, how they can develop responsibly, and how to ensure long-term success.”

In addition to the conference program, attendees will have access to exclusive networking sessions and will receive a complimentary copy of SBC Insight’s latest prediction markets report.
