PIX, AI, and Digital Wallets Take Center Stage at SBC Summit Americas’ LATAM Payments & Tech Track

PIX, digital wallets, and embedded finance are driving Latin America’s gaming industry into a new phase of competition. With operators increasingly being judged by the payment experience they provide alongside their product offering, SBC Summit Americas will explore this shift through its dedicated “LATAM Payments & Tech” track.

Taking place on Wednesday, June 10, at the Broward County Convention Center, the program will give delegates the opportunity to hear directly from leading operators, fintech and payment providers, and regulators from across the Americas.

The track forms part of SBC Summit Americas’ six-stage conference agenda, covering sports betting and casino, affiliation, leadership, player protection, and regulation, with each stage alternating between North and Latin America throughout the two-day event.

“What makes Latin America such an exciting market right now is how naturally technology has become part of everyday life. People are used to instant payments, seamless apps, and digital experiences that simply work. Those expectations are now carrying over into gaming as well,” said Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC.

“That is creating a major shift for operators. Payments, user experience, and player engagement are no longer separate conversations because together they shape how players experience a brand. The LATAM Payments & Tech track explores exactly how those worlds are beginning to merge.”

The session “Wallet Wars: Changing the LatAM Landscape” will examine how wallet ecosystems such as Mercado Pago and Rappi are reshaping mobile commerce across Latin America. Industry experts including Juan Flores, Mariola de la Piedra Quelle, and Carlos Sandoval will debate whether operators should integrate with these established platforms or move toward proprietary financial services tied directly to the gaming experience.

Meanwhile, the panel “PIX: Instant Payments” will take a closer look at Brazil’s payment ecosystem. Speakers Rony Silva, Paulo Chastinet, Marc Crean, and Thomas Carvalhaes will discuss how instant payments have transformed player expectations around speed and convenience, while also exploring emerging features such as PIX Automático.

The conversation will also expand into the region’s technological future during the session “Tech Titans: How Innovation is Powering the Next Digital Frontier.” Industry leaders Javier Troncoso and Pedro Landa will discuss how Latin America is emerging as a global technology hub, highlighting the innovations expected to fuel future growth while addressing challenges related to scalability, infrastructure, and regulation.

Attention will then shift toward the omnichannel player experience. The session “Building a Unified Casino Experience in an Omnichannel World” will explore the growing pressure on operators to create seamless experiences across retail and digital channels. Experts David Fica and Juan Ignacio Juanena will share strategies for integrating payments, loyalty systems, customer data, and user experience into a connected omnichannel ecosystem.

Beyond the conference agenda, SBC Summit Americas will also serve as a key meeting point for the companies, technologies, and conversations shaping the future of payments and technology across the region.

On the exhibition floor, delegates will be able to connect with major fintech and payments companies such as PayNearMe, Paysafe, Signature Payments, and ElenPAY. In addition, the Payments & Fintech Walk-Around Tour will provide direct access to brands and solutions impacting the Latin American market.

Delegates will also be able to participate in payment-focused networking opportunities, including the Payments & Fintech Exchange, Payments in LATAM Briefing, Crypto Briefing, and the Industry Trends & Emerging Tech speed networking session.

SBC Summit Americas 2026 will take place from June 9–11, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
