Tech innovator, entrepreneur, and two-time Tony Award winner Randi Zuckerberg will headline the launch of the AI Academy at SBC Summit 2025, opening the programme with an exclusive Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.
The AI Academy is part of SBC’s newly launched Tech Academies, designed to give delegates more practical, interactive, and close-knit learning experiences. These academies will focus on four key verticals: Artificial Intelligence, Marketing, Web 3.0 & Blockchain, and a fourth discipline still to be revealed.
Taking place on Tuesday, 16 September, the AI Academy will gather global AI leaders, tech entrepreneurs, and business strategists. The programme will feature panels, workshops, case studies, and live Q&As—providing participants with opportunities for reflection as well as actionable strategies for effectively integrating AI.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, commented:
“We’ve seen growing demand from delegates for more hands-on education that tackles the topics shaping our industry. AI hasn’t just captured attention; it has dominated global discussions and is now influencing almost every area of modern business. Including it as part of our Tech Academies was the natural next step.”
The AI Academy will open with a keynote from Jeffrey Haas, Managing Director of ID8 Global, an AI-powered software company helping acquisition and supply chain professionals streamline operations, cut costs, and strengthen compliance.
Following this, Randi Zuckerberg, CEO of Zuckerberg Media and HUG, will lead the AMA session “StAI Ahead: Upleveling Yourself and Your Business with AI.” Delegates will have the chance to ask direct questions, while Zuckerberg provides a step-by-step guide on leveraging AI tools to scale businesses, improve decision-making, and navigate the fast-changing AI landscape.
The programme will then continue with the panel “AI & the Law: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”, where experts Paula Murphy (Head of Business Development, Mindway AI), Diane Mullinex (Head of Global Telecom and Gaming Practices, Pinsent Masons), and Andreas Hartmann (Co-founder & COO, VAIX) will explore how companies can integrate AI ethically and sustainably while balancing corporate responsibility, shareholder expectations, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Delegates will also benefit from four in-depth case studies, offering real-world examples of how businesses are applying AI in areas such as business intelligence, compliance, and autonomous agents.
Highlights include:
- “Merging AI with BI in a Data-Rich Environment” with Mayank Pachauri (Founder & CEO, LogNormal Analytics), examining tools like intelligent alerts, agentic AI, conversational chatbots, and recommendation engines.
- “Building Better, Faster & Smarter with AI”, featuring Javier Troncoso (CEO & Co-founder, InsightPlay.ai), Benjamin Böhle-Roitelet (Co-founder & CEO, WIDER.ai), and John Caldwell (Co-founder, i3Soft), offering insights into how AI is streamlining game development from concept to compliance.
- “Teaching AI to Understand Compliance: Opportunities, Restrictions, and the Power of Human–AI Collaboration”, led by Ralitsa Eide and Isabelle Zanzer, co-founders of CompliancePlayAI, the first AI platform trained exclusively on gambling regulation.
- “How Autonomous Agents Are Disrupting Industries”, delivered by Gianluca Pereyra, CEO of Enidog, exploring how AI-powered agents adapt and operate in competitive, real-time environments such as esports.
The AI Academy will take place during SBC Summit 2025, the company’s flagship global event, hosted at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena from 16–18 September. The summit will also feature a comprehensive conference programme, a large-scale exhibition, the Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Payment Expert Summit, and a series of evening networking events.
Participation in the Tech Academies is limited to Expo+ and VIP Event Pass holders.
