GAT Events Continues Its 2024 Journey with Success and Growing Expectations

May 10, 2024

Following the success of GAT Expo in Cartagena de Indias last April, GAT Events is gearing up to continue its 2024 journey with key events in Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

The recent edition of Gaming & Technology Expo in Cartagena de Indias, held on April 9, 10, and 11, has made a significant impact on the gambling industry. With participation from entrepreneurs worldwide, the fair focused on the growth, regulation, and expectations generated by Latin American markets in the global context.

Consolidated figures from the event reveal a resounding success. Delegates from 40 different countries gathered in La Heroica, with Colombia prominently represented, followed by Peru and Argentina among the most numerous participants.

The total number of attendees reached 2570, who visited the stands of 75 exhibitors in the Santa María and Nueva Granada halls. The academic session on April 9 featured 36 speakers and 350 participants, including notable presentations from entities such as Coljuegos Colombia and the regulator from Paraguay, among others.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, commented on the event’s success and the brand’s future vision: “The growth of the Colombian fair is evident from its 25th anniversary. We see this as the starting point for a new season of the brand that will be increasingly international, strengthening academic content and including cultural and artistic events. Obviously, eSports will continue and be reinforced in GAT’s agendas.”

The next stop for GAT Events will be in Bogotá, with GAT Showcase Bogotá scheduled for Friday, September 6, at the Hotel Sheraton. This key event attracts legal license concessionaires in Colombia, providing an opportunity to define acquisitions and new portfolios.

Pragmatic Play stands out as a sponsor in GAT Showcase Bogotá, alongside firms like Novomatic, Win Systems, IGT, Interblock, Betconstruct, and Pay Retailers, who are preparing their participation in the Colombian capital.

José Aníbal Aguirre added: “We are working at a very fast pace because we understand that our commitment to the legal gaming industry in Colombia and Latin America is growing and becoming more demanding every day.”

In addition to Bogotá, GAT Events also has GAT Santo Domingo scheduled for September 18 and 19 at the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino, expanding its reach in the region.

With these initiatives, GAT Events reaffirms its position as a leader in organizing gambling and technology events in Latin America, providing unique experiences and high-level business opportunities in the industry.
