BMM Testlabs stands out as one of the pioneering laboratories to obtain certification for the recently regulated Peruvian iGaming and sports betting market

February 14, 2024

BMM Testlabs (“BMM”) proudly announces a significant achievement today, as it obtains approval as a testing and certification laboratory for Peru’s emerging online gaming and sports betting sector.

BMM received official approval from Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (“MINCETUR”) today, following MINCETUR’s endorsement of the country’s sports betting and iGaming regulations in October 2023. Peru now joins Colombia and Argentina as the third South American nation to regulate these programs. The regulations came into effect on February 9, 2024, with operators having until March 2024 to submit their applications.

Marzia Turrini, President of Digital Gaming, Security, and Inspections at BMM Testlabs, expressed her excitement, stating, “This marks a pivotal moment for BMM Testlabs as we secure the distinction of being the premier lab approved to test and certify online games and sports betting programs in Peru. We extend our sincere gratitude to MINCETUR for their trust in BMM, and we are eager to contribute to the successful launch of Peru’s new digital gaming initiatives, ensuring fair and secure entertainment for this burgeoning regulated market.”

In addition to its existing land-based testing and certification services for casino operators in Peru, BMM has been authorized to provide a comprehensive range of iGaming and sports betting services.

BMM has been serving iGaming jurisdictions worldwide since 2002, offering game evaluations, game payout analysis, return-to-player (“RTP”) evaluations, game math evaluations, RNG testing, RGS and platform testing, security audits, penetration testing, and more.

BMM’s sports betting services encompass full jurisdictional testing and certification, geolocation testing, back-end testing on transactions and payments, as well as cybersecurity testing and audits to safeguard infrastructure and player data.

Having established an office in Lima in 2007, BMM is well-positioned to meet the land-based and digital requirements of Peru, the third largest country in South America. This milestone achievement underscores BMM Testlabs’ unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional product compliance and certification services to clients globally.
