Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT) is thrilled to announce a significant change for 2024 – the relocation of its flagship event, previously held for three years in Punta Cana, to the vibrant city of Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. The exhibition, now named GAT Showcase Santo Domingo, will take place on September 18 and 19 at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino.
The decision to change the location and date is based on valuable suggestions from prominent leaders in the Dominican gaming industry. These leaders, in turn, have considered input from operators across the island who find a gathering of entrepreneurs in the country’s most important city more effective and productive.
José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, stated: “Listening to recommendations from the physical casinos and lottery banks in Quisqueya, we have decided to move the event to the capital, under the name GAT Showcase Santo Domingo. We invite the entire national industry and operators from the Antilles jurisdiction.”
The event enjoys full support from the Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos (ADCJ) and the National Association of Sports Banks, bringing together representatives from various regions of the country, including Santiago de los Caballeros, Puerto Plata, and the province of Altagracia.

- Wednesday, September 18: Academic sessions by the Ibero-American Corporation of Lotteries and State Betting (CIBELAE), discussions on the current state of the sector, combatting illegal gambling, money laundering, metaverse, impact of artificial intelligence, and more. Welcome reception in the evening.
- Thursday, September 19: Exhibition in land-based and online stands from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
At a crucial moment for gaming regulation in the Dominican Republic, with an online gaming regulation project under consultation with operators, GAT Showcase Santo Domingo serves as a strategic space to discuss the future of the industry.
Alexandra Hernández, GAT’s Marketing Director, emphasized: “It will be a great opportunity to explore new businesses and strategic alliances in the RD with a strong and established gaming industry.”
Confirmed sponsors for GAT Showcase Santo Domingo include Pragmatic Play and Amusnet, while exhibitors include Juancito Sport, Loteka, IGC, Todo +, Mi Quinte, with more companies expected to join as negotiations conclude.
Presence at ICE London:
