SBC Summit Adds Global Payment Compliance Track to 2026 Agenda

The Global Payment Compliance track will bring together operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders and technology providers to examine AML, data protection and emerging regulatory challenges.

SBC Summit will expand its 2026 agenda with the Global Payment Compliance track, a dedicated programme examining the technologies, strategies and regulatory developments shaping payment compliance across the industry.

The track will take place on Wednesday, 30 September as part of the dedicated Payment Expert Summit stage, which will also feature tracks focused on Fintech on Tuesday, 29 September, and Crypto & Blockchain on Thursday, 1 October.

The programme will bring together operators, compliance specialists, payment leaders, legal experts and technology providers to examine how businesses can strengthen payment systems, address threats and adapt to evolving regulatory expectations.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said payment compliance has become one of the industry’s key balancing challenges as operators seek to combine stronger controls with fast and seamless payment experiences.

“Payment compliance has become one of the industry’s biggest balancing acts. Operators are expected to strengthen fraud prevention, AML threats and regulatory oversight, while at the same time delivering the fast, seamless payment journeys that players demand.”

Sojmark added that the objective should not be to choose between compliance and customer experience, but to develop strategies capable of addressing both priorities.

The programme will open its AML focus with AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming, examining how automation and smarter risk detection can strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.

The panel will feature Luis Carlos Pérez, Chief AML Officer at Lottofy; Gintarė Wycherley, Senior Solutions Engineer at SEON; James Boyles, Director Player Experience at Evoke; and Carmelo Mazza, CEO of Betaland/Enjoybet. George Rover, Managing Partner at Princeton Global Strategies, will moderate the session.

The programme will then turn to Africa with “Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML Across African Markets”, focusing on the challenges created by the rapid growth of mobile money and alternative payment methods across the continent.

Maruf Lawal, COO at MOKO Afrika; Adenike Oyebamiji, Legal Compliance West Africa at Velex Group; and moderator Maleek Oyiza, Head of Legal & Compliance at Tradabets, will examine how operators can navigate different regulatory requirements across jurisdictions while maintaining seamless payment experiences.

The relationship between compliance and player privacy will take centre stage during “How Much Is Too Much Data?”. The session will feature James Myles, Head of Compliance at Dragonbet; Miguel Godinho, Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel at Betclic Group; Vana Demetriou, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at ZENOBET; and moderator Jochen Biewer, Managing Director at Chevron Group.

The speakers will explore how operators can establish robust compliance processes that satisfy regulatory requirements without exceeding the boundaries set by evolving data protection rules.

The wider programme will also address AML challenges linked to emerging game formats through “AML Readiness for Emerging Game Formats”, examine how prediction markets and artificial intelligence are reshaping financial oversight in “Prediction Markets, AI and the New Investment Arms Race”, and explore the next stage of European regulatory developments in “Preparing for AMLA’s Full Rollout”.

Beyond the conference programme, SBC Summit will offer dedicated networking initiatives for payment and compliance professionals. These will include the Compliance Show Floor Tour, a guided networking experience led by the SBC team, connecting delegates with payment compliance exhibitors and their latest solutions.

SBC Summit will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena, bringing together an expected 40,000 industry professionals for three days of networking, exhibition and education.

Conference access is included with Conference, Business and VIP Passes, while delegates wishing to attend conference sessions and payment compliance networking initiatives will require a Business or VIP Pass.More information about SBC Summit
