Gaming in Germany Conference returns to Berlin on November 10, 2026

Gaming in Europe has announced the return of the Gaming in Germany Conference, set to take place on November 10th, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin.

The annual event has established itself as a key meeting point for professionals involved in Germany’s regulated online gambling industry. The conference will cover a wide range of critical topics, including the latest regulatory developments — with particular focus on the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty (GlüStV 2021) — as well as market growth, player protection, eSports, marketing, and compliance.

Although the event is still months away, a strong lineup of speakers has already been confirmed, featuring leading voices from the legal, regulatory, and business sectors:

  • Dr. Jörg Hofmann, Senior Partner at Melchers Law
  • Senior representative of the GGL
  • Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of DOCV
  • Mathias Dahms, President of DSWV
  • VP Games at ZEAL Network
  • Prof. Dr. Christian Piska, University of Vienna
  • Dr. Nepomuk Nothelfer, Assistant Professor at the University of Agder & Attorney at Melchers Law
  • Josh Hodgson, COO at H2 Gambling Capital

Willem van Oort, founder of Gaming in Germany, commented on the upcoming edition:
“Following last year’s highly successful conference, we are delighted to return to Berlin in 2026. Our goal remains to connect the industry with regulators and broader societal stakeholders, and vice versa. This year will be particularly important as we expect to learn more about the outcome of the ongoing evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty and its impact on Germany’s regulated iGaming market.”

He also emphasized the event’s networking value:
“The Gaming in Germany Conference is the place to meet key decision-makers in Germany’s regulated iGaming industry, making it a must-attend event for anyone active in the sector.”

The organizers encourage industry professionals to save the date and secure their participation in one of Europe’s most relevant iGaming events.

In addition, Gaming in Europe has opened its call for speakers and sponsorship opportunities. Interested parties are invited to get in touch with founder Willem van Oort to share insights, present innovations, or explore collaboration opportunities.
