#ReclaimTheMarket and industry challenges
In line with Gaming in Holland’s renewed mission statement, “Let’s reclaim the market,” the 2026 conference will focus on how the regulated industry and other stakeholders can contribute to keeping illegal operators at bay.
The event will also explore key issues affecting the Dutch gambling sector, including expectations regarding the new government, the ongoing debate around tax rates, market development, marketing strategies and the growing role of artificial intelligence.
Willem van Oort, founder of Gaming in Holland, commented that competition from illegal operators is a growing concern not only in the Netherlands but across several European jurisdictions. He emphasized the importance of creating spaces where stakeholders can exchange ideas on how the regulated industry can use its market power to contain and potentially reverse this trend. With many key decision makers attending, the 2026 conference is expected to become a central forum for discussing these challenges.
Call for speakers and sponsorship opportunities
The organization is also inviting additional speakers interested in presenting on the #ReclaimTheMarket theme, as well as companies interested in exploring sponsorship opportunities for the event.
