GAT Events, a leading B2B business, knowledge, and institutional networking platform for the gaming industry in Latin America and the Caribbean, concluded a highly successful participation at ICE Barcelona 2026, reinforcing its role as a key connector between Latin American markets and the global gaming ecosystem.
With a strong delegation comprising its commercial, marketing, communications, and public relations teams, GAT highlighted the growing international interest in the region. This strategic presence resulted in more than 70 business meetings, participation in six academic and networking events, and a list of nearly 80 companies interested in joining the GAT Circuit to access strategic markets such as Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia.
Over the three-day event, the Gaming & Technology Expo team held high-level meetings with regulators, operators, suppliers, and international associations, strengthening existing partnerships and advancing new alliances. These efforts will drive top-tier academic agendas, commercial exhibitions, and networking events within the GAT Circuit 2026.
Organized by Clarion Gaming, ICE Barcelona 2026 once again confirmed its leadership as the world’s premier gaming industry event. Featuring outstanding production and a comprehensive academic program, the exhibition brought together 65,000 executives from more than 180 countries, with a strong focus on innovation, regulation, sustainability, and business development, driven by technology and artificial intelligence.
Within this global showcase, GAT presented the vision and scope of the GAT Circuit 2026 and exchanged insights on the evolution of Latin American markets with regulators from Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Brazil.
A key highlight was GAT’s participation in Casa Brasil, an institutional space that hosted a significant part of the Latin American agenda during ICE Barcelona. There, GAT strengthened ties with authorities, associations, legal experts, and industry leaders, officially projecting the launch of the GAT Summit Brazil, scheduled to take place in São Paulo next July, as confirmed during the event.
The GAT Summit Brazil will be a premium, academy- and networking-focused event. In partnership with Eletrolar and other strategic players in the Brazilian market, it will pave the way for a large-scale commercial exhibition with projections for 2027 and 2028.
“ICE Barcelona is an unparalleled platform to promote GAT Events. Its organizers clearly understand the strategic importance of Latin America within the global gaming ecosystem. In our region, gaming is deeply rooted in popular culture, and significant progress has been made in regulation and the fight against illegal gaming. I would like to thank Clarion Gaming and especially Liliana Costa for their warm welcome and for the opportunities provided through Casa Brasil and Latin America-focused sessions. We experienced a true marathon of meetings, the results of which will soon begin to materialize,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of Gaming & Technology Expo.
The GAT team — José Aníbal Aguirre, Alexandra Hernández, Lida María Roldán, Natalia Moreno, and Ana María Padrós — collectively expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes achieved and the strategic impact of their presence in Barcelona.
Through this participation, GAT reaffirms its mission to integrate legal gaming, attract investment, and generate real business opportunities, contributing to economic growth across Latin America and the Caribbean.
