Your Roadmap to Brazil’s Digital Future: The Tech Innovation Stage at SBC Summit Rio

As Brazil enters its second year of regulation, technology is increasingly emerging as the key differentiator between market leaders and those still struggling to keep pace.

Against this backdrop, the Tech Innovation Stage at SBC Summit Rio, taking place on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at Riocentro, will serve as a critical platform for delivering clarity, strategic direction, and practical solutions for navigating Brazil’s regulated landscape.

Designed to cut through market noise, the track will address complex regulatory, product, and infrastructure demands, guiding attendees toward the tools and strategic decisions that can deliver real competitive advantage in a rapidly maturing ecosystem.

“In the first year of regulation, everyone’s priority was getting to grips with the new rules. In year two, the mindset is already evolving,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC.
“Operators and suppliers now want to push beyond the basics and ask, ‘How do we get ahead?’ Technology is central to that next step. The sessions in this track will show where the smartest investments are and how innovation can translate into stronger performance in Brazil’s market.”

Each session within the Tech Innovation Stage explores a different dimension of Brazil’s digital evolution, spanning content, compliance, engagement, and scalability, while offering a comprehensive view of the technologies shaping the industry’s next chapter.

The track will open with “Building Brazil’s Regulated Digital Infrastructure”, a panel delivered by Serpro, offering an inside look at the digital systems supporting Brazil’s newly regulated betting market. The session will examine how player data verification, system certification, and secure connectivity are being implemented, giving attendees a clear understanding of how the country’s regulatory infrastructure is taking shape.

Following this, “Engineering the Next Generation of Casino Hits” will analyse how designers are leveraging player psychology and gamification to create products for Brazil’s mobile-first audience. Industry experts Stefano De Andrade Lima (Brabet), André ‘Sapuca’ Nogueira (BetMGM), and Marcelo Vazão (BetEsporte) will discuss how crash mechanics, intuitive UX, real-time gamification, and data-driven design are influencing next-generation casino content.

The panel “Player Protection Isn’t Just a Regulatory Checkbox” will focus on responsible gaming, exploring how technology can help operators meet and exceed Brazil’s regulatory requirements. Featuring Laura Beatriz de Souza Morganti (BetBoom), Luciana Hendrich (Hendrich Digital Content), and Allison Santos (VBET), the session will highlight which safeguards truly deliver value, from real-time self-exclusion and deposit limits to proactive risk-management systems.

Closing the track, “2026 World Cup: First Kick in a Newly Regulated Market” will explore how operators can prepare for Brazil’s first regulated World Cup. Speakers Felipe Costa Nadalini (Optimove), Carla Dualib (SOFTSWISS), Maykon Martins (Tigerbet), Samuel Vilar Pereira (UXGroup), and Bruno Rodrigues (Bet Aki) will unpack the technology investments, acquisition strategies, and loyalty-building tactics needed to capitalise on this high-intent moment.

The Tech Innovation Stage will also feature a panel presented by FERJEE, Brazil’s Esports Federation. Titled “The Game in a Digital Arena: Integrity and Compliance”, the session will examine how compliance frameworks are evolving to address integrity risks in esports betting, a segment that has seen betting volumes grow by 40%.

The Tech Innovation Stage is part of the wider SBC Summit Rio agenda and sits alongside the Leadership, Affiliation, Payments, and Marketing tracks, all designed to help delegates successfully navigate the Brazilian market.

SBC Summit Rio will welcome 15,000 attendees for three days of networking, education, and business development, running from 3–5 March 2026.
