Sportradar and the Paraná Football Federation Expand Online Education Platform to Prevent Match-Fixing

In 2025, more than 5,500 professionals and athletes in Paraná have already completed training through the online platform developed by Sportradar and the Paraná Football Federation (FPF). The initiative, now recognized as one of Brazil’s most robust educational programs focused on sports integrity, continues to gain prominence in the fight against match-fixing.

Sportradar, the global leader in sports technology and integrity, and the FPF strengthened the reach of their online education platform this year, expanding its focus on preventing match manipulation. Already adopted by football federations in southern Brazil, the tool has trained athletes, referees, club officials, and technical staff, establishing itself as a structured and accessible model for integrity learning.

This progress comes at a time of significant changes in the betting market and growing demand for transparency. The platform offers clear and practical content on sports integrity: what constitutes match-fixing, how betting markets operate, how criminal groups act, and the sporting, administrative, and criminal consequences under Brazilian law and international regulations such as FIFA’s. The FPF also monitors participant progress and issues certification at the end of the modules.

Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Integrity Director for LATAM, highlighted:
“Education is the foundation of prevention. Training 5,500 people in Paraná shows the real impact initiatives like this can have. The more knowledge and guidance reach sports professionals, the better prepared the ecosystem will be to identify risks and prevent match-fixing cases.”

Hélio Cury Filho, President of the Paraná Football Federation (FPF), added:
“This partnership reinforces our commitment to education. We believe in this model so strongly that we intend to broaden the scope of the courses and include match delegates as well. Sharing information is the best way to prevent problems.”

This initiative complements the broader set of actions Sportradar is leading in Brazil. In addition to its partnership with the Ministry of Finance through SPA – the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting – the company has signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Sports to promote integrity training and information-sharing. In 2025, Sportradar also provided training for delegates from the Civil and Federal Police.

Recognized as a trusted integrity partner by organizations such as FIFA, UEFA, and Conmebol, Sportradar in Brazil maintains a close relationship with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), being responsible for monitoring more than 10,000 football matches per season.
