Sportradar Strengthens Sports Integrity in Collaboration with CONMEBOL and AFA in Argentina

Sportradar took part in a new edition of the Integrity Training Program, an initiative led by CONMEBOL in collaboration with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and supported by Betano.
The session, held in Buenos Aires, is part of a series of events taking place across South America, aimed at fostering a culture of integrity and preventing match-fixing within member associations.

The event brought together Argentine football officials, sports authorities, club and federation representatives, referees, players, and coaches for a day of education and dialogue focused on key topics such as match manipulation, violence, discrimination, and the role of education as a powerful tool for prevention.

Commitment to Transparency and Ethics in Football

During the opening session, Claudio Tapia, President of the AFA, reaffirmed the organization’s ongoing commitment to transparency and ethics in football:

“Match-fixing is a scourge that affects the entire world, not just football. The best way to fight it is through prevention and education, especially among young athletes. That is our greatest responsibility,” he stated.

A Joint Effort for an Honest and Fair Game

The training session also featured presentations from Graciela Garay, CONMEBOL’s Director of Ethics, Compliance, and Integrity; Jorge Ojeda, CONMEBOL’s Integrity Officer; and Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Director of Integrity Services for Latin America.
Together, they shared experiences and best practices in the ongoing fight against match manipulation and integrity breaches.

“It is a pleasure for Sportradar to once again collaborate with CONMEBOL and its member associations—this time alongside AFA—to promote a culture of integrity across the region. These training sessions are essential to strengthening cooperation and reinforcing our shared commitment to an ethical and transparent sporting environment,” said Felippe Marchetti.

An Accessible and Inclusive Training Experience

The session was broadcast live through AFA’s official YouTube channel, allowing players, referees, and coaches from across the country to participate remotely and contribute to this regional initiative in support of sports integrity.
