The Gaming in Germany Conference, set to take place on November 11 in Berlin, has announced several new additions to its already impressive lineup of speakers.
Sebastian Buchholz, Head of Licensing and Market Supervision at the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), will deliver the event’s keynote address.
The operator’s perspective will be strongly represented this year with the participation of Christian Heins, Director of iGaming at Tipico; Alex Green, Vice President of Games at ZEAL Network; and Ewout Keuleers, former General Counsel at Kindred Group, all confirmed to join the conference.
Attendees will also hear insights from leading German and European trade associations, including:
- Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of the Deutscher Online Casinoverband (DOCV)
- Mathias Dahms, President of the Deutscher Sportwettenverband (DSWV)
- Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA)
Willem van Oort, founder of Gaming in Germany, expressed his satisfaction with this year’s lineup:
“I am extremely pleased with the speaker selection. It reflects the growing relevance of our event and, most importantly, the key topics we’re addressing this year: the threat of the black market and the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty. Licensed operators are clearly committed to making the German iGaming market more sustainable and competitive, and I’m delighted that we are trusted to foster meaningful discussion and debate on these important issues.”
Van Oort added:
“As the event coincides with the ongoing evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty, now is certainly the time to be part of the conversation.”
