Esportes da Sorte Holds Match-Fixing Workshop for Corinthians Players and Coaching Staff

Workshop led by Sportradar reinforces commitment to sports integrity and responsible gaming

This Wednesday (9), Corinthians’ first team will participate in the Match-Fixing Prevention Workshop, an initiative promoted by Esportes da Sorte, the main sponsor of both of the club’s teams, and led by Sportradar, a global leader in sports technology and a recognized authority in sports integrity.

The event is part of a series of in-person workshops previously held with the squads of Ceará and Náutico. At Corinthians, the training will also extend to players and coaching staff from the women’s and under-20 teams.

Focusing on the prevention of illegal practices in sports competitions, the workshop covers key topics such as the definition of match-fixing, types of fraud, fraudsters’ modus operandi, legal risks, and reputational impact. Participants also receive practical guidance on how to respond when approached suspiciously.

“Promoting sports integrity and responsible gaming is a core pillar of our mission. That’s why we invest in education and stand alongside clubs in this collective effort to ensure transparency and protect competitions,” said Ana Carolina Luna Maçães, Compliance Manager at Esportes Gaming Brasil, the group behind Esportes da Sorte.

The sessions will be led by Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnerships Manager at Sportradar. The company is a partner of Conmebol, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and 17 state federations, monitoring over 10,000 matches per season in Brazil. It has recently signed Technical Cooperation Agreements (ACTs) with the Ministries of Finance and Sports, reinforcing its strategic role in the fight against sports fraud.

“It’s a great pleasure to host an Integrity Workshop with Corinthians, one of Brazil’s most prominent football clubs. We believe that raising awareness is essential in the fight against match-fixing. Corinthians’ openness to this dialogue — given the club’s influence and massive fan base — is an important step forward for the entire football ecosystem,” said Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Integrity Partnerships Manager.
