SBC Summit Malta Rebrand Highlights Event Expansion

January 14, 2025

The SBC Summit Malta is the new identity for SBC’s Malta-based conference and exhibition, replacing the CasinoBeats Summit and signaling a progressive new era for the event.

This strategic shift responds to recent changes in Malta’s event sector, allowing SBC to expand the event’s scope and align it with its global portfolio of conferences.

The CasinoBeats Summit was known for its strong focus on game development and marketing, offering exclusive technical insights through panels and workshops. The newly rebranded SBC Summit Malta will broaden its agenda, covering all gaming verticals beyond the casino-focused format.

Aligned with this expansion, the Game Developer Awards will be reintroduced as the SBC Awards Europe, featuring new categories to celebrate innovation across all gaming sectors while continuing to honor outstanding casino titles.

The event will also include the popular INFINITY Malta, an EDM party featuring celebrity DJs such as Afrojack, Alok, Darude, Don Diablo, Dubdogz, Miss Monique, and Steve Aoki.

“SBC Summit Malta is a step forward in our mission to create comprehensive events that serve the entire gaming community,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark. “This event reaffirms our commitment to Malta as a key destination, offering meaningful connections, practical insights, and real business opportunities for our delegates.”

In 2025, the agenda will expand to include panels on sports betting, payments, affiliation, enhanced regulatory discussions, and market overviews. Workshops will continue to focus on VIP player acquisition, game design, bonus abuse, technology, and the latest SEO trends.

The event will host a more diverse audience, with 5,500 delegates, including 2,000 operator representatives and 750 affiliates, reflecting a 50% growth in affiliate and marketing professionals in 2024.

The exhibition floor will be redesigned to maximize exposure for exhibitors and sponsors, attracting iGaming market leaders from Malta and Europe, who accounted for 39% of the audience in 2024.

The SBC Summit Malta integrates seamlessly into SBC’s global lineup, including the SBC Summit Rio (February), SBC Summit Americas (May), SBC Summit Tbilisi (October), and flagship SBC Summit in Lisbon (September).

“By aligning SBC Summit Malta with these established events, SBC creates a cohesive global ecosystem that drives innovation, collaboration, and growth across all gaming verticals while enhancing Malta’s position in the industry,” Sojmark concluded.
