The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) is pleased to announce the dates for this year’s European Safer Gambling Week, which will take place from 18-24 November 2024.
European Safer Gambling Week is an annual collaborative effort to raise awareness about safer gambling in Europe. Organized by EGBA, the initiative serves as a platform to foster important discussions about player protection among stakeholders across Europe’s gambling sector, including operators, regulators, support organizations, and experts-by-experience.
This year will mark the fourth edition of the initiative and, building upon the success of previous years, will be underpinned by a social media campaign and a series of insightful workshops. These will aim to raise awareness about safer gambling, share best practices and tips, highlight crucial resources and services, and facilitate meaningful discussions about the latest developments in regulation and research.
Reflecting on the importance of the initiative, Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of EGBA, said:
“We’re pleased to announce the dates for this year’s European Safer Gambling Week and look forward to another impactful edition. The initiative is an important part of EGBA’s commitment to raising awareness about safer gambling and fostering a strong culture of player protection in Europe. This year, we aim to reach even more Europeans with safer gambling tips and messages and bring together a diverse range of stakeholders for a week full of meaningful discussions about the future of player protection.”
