Marketing researcher Renzo Escalante receives Honorary Doctorate Recognition

The gaming sector in Latin America, both in physical and virtual realms, is experiencing rapid growth, and amidst this ascent, several professionals are contributing value to the market and standing out in the industry. One such individual is Dr. Renzo Escalante, who recently became the first recipient of an Honorary Doctorate for the Gambling sector in Latin America, an accolade bestowed by the UNESCO Chair.

The honorary distinction took place on February 24, 2024, at the main hall of Club La Unión, located in the Historic Center of Lima, Peru. Various institutions and personalities from the scientific community and the Peruvian government attended the ceremony to celebrate this milestone in Dr. Renzo Escalante’s career.

The UNESCO Chair, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced International Studies and the Association of Masters, Doctors, and Post-doctors of Peru, decided to confer this prestigious recognition upon Dr. Renzo Escalante in acknowledgment of his valuable contributions to research in marketing, human relations, and responsible gaming in the betting sector. Additionally, his academic excellence and 18 years of professional experience in Latin America were highlighted, where he has promoted research and professionalization of economic activities associated with the gaming and entertainment sector.

Dr. Escalante expressed his gratitude and reflections on this recognition, stating: “This is a very important moment in my professional life. I am convinced that we can debunk many myths surrounding the gaming sector, in the various social realities we see in Latin America and the world. We can achieve this by conducting responsible and ethical work, fostering research to support decision-making from executives to company owners.”

Renzo Escalante, renowned as the CEO of Clases Play and Play Advisors, as well as Marketing Manager of Latam-Entertainment and Regional Marketing Manager of WA Technology, has left a significant mark on the gambling industry in Latin America and beyond.
