Sunbet continues its growth with Bede Gaming partnership renewal

The renewal extends a nearly ten-year collaboration and supports Sunbet’s expansion across South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.

Sunbet, the digital division of Sun International, has renewed its contract with long-standing technology partner Bede Gaming as part of its strategy to continue developing its digital betting offering.

The announcement follows another period of positive performance for the South African brand. In its latest financial update for the first half of 2026, Sun International reported 36% year-on-year revenue growth for its digital business and a 43% increase in overall iGaming gross gaming revenue (GGR).

The renewal extends a partnership spanning nearly ten years, which has supported Sunbet’s growth into one of South Africa’s leading online betting brands. The company has also expanded into Botswana and Namibia using Bede Gaming’s platform, which can be configured for different international markets.

Simon Gregory, CEO of Sunbet, highlighted the digital brand’s growth ambitions and the role of its technology partner in supporting its development.

“We have big aspirations for our digital brand, which now operates across three markets and is delivering impressive results. Bede has continued to support our ambitions and digital growth year after year, with commendable collaboration and proactivity at all levels of the business. We have a lot to celebrate together, and a lot of exciting work in our roadmap ahead,” Gregory said.

Bede Gaming, a software supplier to the iGaming industry, has supported Sunbet through tailored features and solutions, including integrations with sportsbook provider Kambi and CRM platform Xtremepush.

Kirsty Stewart, Chief Legal & Client Success Officer at Bede Gaming, highlighted the development of the relationship between the two companies.

“We are very proud of the relationship we have continued to grow and foster with Sunbet. It’s been rewarding to witness the incredible success that our partner has experienced during our time working together,” Stewart said.
