The new conference track will examine the practical application of digital assets and blockchain technology across gambling, with a focus on payments, regulation, security, acquisition and loyalty.
SBC Summit 2026 will introduce a dedicated Crypto & Blockchain conference track, examining how digital assets and blockchain technology are moving from experimentation towards practical applications across the gambling industry.
Taking place on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, the track will bring together operators, payments leaders, fintech specialists, blockchain professionals and Web3 experts to explore the value these technologies can deliver, alongside the challenges surrounding their adoption.
The track will form part of the Payment Expert Summit stage, alongside dedicated Fintech and Global Payment Compliance tracks taking place on 29 and 30 September respectively. Sessions throughout the day will explore the safe integration of crypto payments, technologies supporting faster and more secure transactions, and lessons iGaming can take from the crypto sector in areas including acquisition, engagement and loyalty.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said the conversation around blockchain and crypto is entering a more practical phase, focused on where the technologies are already delivering value.
“We are now at a point where the industry can have a much more practical conversation about where it actually works.”
He also highlighted the need to consider compliance, security and regulation alongside the opportunities presented by faster payments and new approaches to player engagement.
Payments, Security and Crypto Marketing
The track will open with “Blockchain Banking for Gambling Operators”, focusing on how regulated operators can integrate crypto and stablecoins into their payment ecosystems. Lissele Pratt, Domenico Roberto Paradisi, Ian Sherrington, Julian Goffin and Martha Brincat will take part, with Bruce Porter Jr. moderating. The discussion will cover AML requirements, transaction monitoring, security and player trust.
The session “Speed, Security & Conversion for Crypto Gambling” will examine how advances in blockchain settlement can support faster deposits and withdrawals while maintaining robust verification, AML safeguards and regulatory compliance. The panel will feature Igor Shelamov, Nick Fitt and Alex Codina, moderated by Jean-Michel Azzopardi.
The programme will also explore crypto-sector approaches to customer acquisition and loyalty. During “What iGaming Can Learn from Crypto Marketing”, Valentina Diaco and Becky Liggero will examine how crypto brands have built engaged communities and achieved rapid growth, as well as which strategies could realistically be adopted by traditional iGaming operators.
Further sessions will explore what makes crypto iGaming ventures attractive to investors and assess the opportunities and risks associated with Web3 in gambling.
Beyond the conference programme, SBC Summit will provide several networking opportunities. The Fintech Show Floor Tour will connect operators with blockchain and crypto technology providers, while Payments Speed Networking will enable attendees to make up to a dozen targeted introductions within an hour. Smart Connect will facilitate prequalified meetings between crypto and blockchain specialists and senior operator representatives.
SBC Summit 2026 will take place from 29 September to 1 October at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena, bringing together an expected 40,000 industry professionals for three days of networking, exhibition and education.
